FY28 Large Diameter Water & Sewer Services Contract
This contract is for the continuous installation of large water and sewer services, as needed, for commercial or residential purposes with a diameter one and a half inches or larger. Customers apply for quotes for service connection and pay the applicable fees to get into the construction queue. This contract will help meet the demand for these kinds of service connections for the next two years.

This project includes safety improvements at 8 sites, focusing on low-cost, high-impact measures such as pedestrian crossings, accessible pedestrian signals (APS), leading pedestrian intervals (LPIs), and priority projects from a Safe Routes to School study.

CLT is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced companies interested in maintaining existing or providing a Building Management Systems to monitor access control, cameras, HVAC and fire detection at the main Terminal, old Terminal building and at the CLT

Fixing non-compliant ramps and pedestrian signals at 2 signalized intersections. Curb ramp and sidewalk replacements at multiple unsignalized intersections. Mill & overlay and pavement marking work will be required. Traffic signal wiring/conduit work will be required.

Vehicle and Equipment Welding and Related Services
The City requires a company to work in conjunction with Fleet Management, the Airport, and other city departments to provide Vehicle and Equipment Welding and Related Services to the City of Charlotte. The Company shall perform vehicle or equipment maintenance, repair, and modification through the provision of Vehicle and Equipment Welding and Related services for vehicles and equipment owned, operated, or maintained by the City. This includes, but is not limited to welding, fabrication, painting completed repairs and other directly related services. The Company shall provide these services either at their Company facilities or at approved City locations.

Standby Power and Instrumentation at Tank Sites
This construction contract includes the installation of new natural gas or propane-powered generators at multiple water storage tank sites. The work also involves associated miscellaneous electrical improvements necessary to support standby power functionality. These upgrades are intended to enhance system reliability and ensure continuous operation during power outages.

Fiscal Year 2026 Water Main Replacement
This construction contract is designated for the replacement of aging water main infrastructure. The scope of work primarily targets water mains that have reached or exceeded their expected service life and are now contributing to operational challenges such as increased maintenance, reduced reliability, and potential service interruptions. Priority is given to pipeline segments 12 inches in diameter or smaller. This contract supports Charlotte Water’s long-term asset management strategy by improving system resilience, reducing unplanned outages, and enhancing overall water service reliability.

Belmont Pump Station Construction
This project will deliver a new pumping station and pressurized pipe to convey wastewater flow from the City of Belmont to Charlotte Water’s (CLTWater) Stowe Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility via CLTWater’s Paw Creek Pumping Station. This project will allow the existing Belmont Wastewater Treatment Plant to be decommissioned and eliminate the need for costly improvements at this facility. Due to separate funding sources, the project will be delivered via Design-Bid-Build delivery method through two phases of design and three separate construction contracts.
Seeking proposals for a supplier to provide direct vehicular and pedestrian traffic on the airport roadways and curb in front of the the terminal building while enforcing airport bylaws, rules, and regulations.
