On-Call Electrical Services
The Facilities Building Maintenance Division of the Aviation Department is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of various buildings, including the airport terminal, offices, fire stations, tenant buildings, equipment shops, and among others that house various City activities. The intent of this RFP is to select no less than two (2) companies to provide electrical services for the Aviation Department’s Building Maintenance Division. The scope of services is required to assist the Aviation Department with renovations, remodels, and maintenance of existing facilities. It will also include, but not be limited to the following: power, distribution, lighting, conduit, panels, equipment connections and low voltage.

The purpose and need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality.

Marlwood/Waverly (Dredging) Surface Water Quality Improvement Project
The Marlwood/Waverly project area consists of the two ponds, Marlwood Lake located south of Albemarle Road near Marlwood Circle, and Waverly Lake located north of Albemarle Road near Almond Road. The existing ponds have silted in and project improvements include pond dredging to specified projects depths.

Charlotte Water Easement Clearing Services
Charlotte Water is seeking companies to provide mowing, clearing, removing, and disposing services for all vegetation, debris (i.e. furniture, clothes, or appliances), and other projectable objects (i.e. large rocks or boulders) from within its Water Treatment Plants’ pipeline areas. Additionally, as-needed services will be requested for undefined areas owned and/or maintained by Charlotte Water.

Standby Power and Instrumentation at Tank Sites
This construction contract includes the installation of new natural gas or propane-powered generators at multiple water storage tank sites. The work also involves associated miscellaneous electrical improvements necessary to support standby power functionality. These upgrades are intended to enhance system reliability and ensure continuous operation during power outages.

Belmont Pump Station Construction
This project will deliver a new pumping station and pressurized pipe to convey wastewater flow from the City of Belmont to Charlotte Water’s (CLTWater) Stowe Regional Wastewater Reclamation Facility via CLTWater’s Paw Creek Pumping Station. This project will allow the existing Belmont Wastewater Treatment Plant to be decommissioned and eliminate the need for costly improvements at this facility. Due to separate funding sources, the project will be delivered via Design-Bid-Build delivery method through two phases of design and three separate construction contracts.

Fiscal Year 2026 Water Main Replacement
This construction contract is designated for the replacement of aging water main infrastructure. The scope of work primarily targets water mains that have reached or exceeded their expected service life and are now contributing to operational challenges such as increased maintenance, reduced reliability, and potential service interruptions. Priority is given to pipeline segments 12 inches in diameter or smaller. This contract supports Charlotte Water’s long-term asset management strategy by improving system resilience, reducing unplanned outages, and enhancing overall water service reliability.
CLT is seeking proposals from qualified and experienced companies interested in maintaining existing or providing a Building Management Systems to monitor access control, cameras, HVAC and fire detection at the main Terminal, old Terminal building and at the CLT
Center.
