Charlotte Douglas International Airport, request a proposal from a Fire Protection equipment service company. The contractor will provide scheduled annual, quarterly, three and five-year inspections, scheduled maintenance, and repairs for the Charlotte-Douglas International Airport facilities which consist of (36) building with approximately (207) individual fire protection systems and components. The systems include, foam generators, Foam/ water sprinkler systems, Wet and Dry sprinkler system risers, Pre-Action, Dry stand- pipe connections, FM200, and electrically powered fire pumps.

This agreement will be for a service company to provide for the annual, quarterly, 3 year, and 5 year testing and inspection of these systems per the NFPA 25 requirements. The service company must provide the annual testing and repair services to five Protect-o-wire fire detection control panel.

The Contractor must hold a State Fire Sprinkler license for the State of North Carolina or any other state, which are recognized by North Carolina’s state board of examiner for Plumbing, Heating and Fire Sprinkler contractors.

The Facilities Building Maintenance Division of the Aviation Department is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of various buildings, including the airport terminal, offices, fire stations, tenant buildings, equipment shops, and among others that house various City activities. The intent of this RFP is to select no less than two (2) companies to provide electrical services for the Aviation Department’s Building Maintenance Division.  The scope of services is required to assist the Aviation Department with renovations, remodels, and maintenance of existing facilities. It will also include, but not be limited to the following: power, distribution, lighting, conduit, panels, equipment connections and low voltage.

The Services may include, but are not limited to:

  • Furnishing professional consultation and analysis of a project site to determine the types and extent of repairs or renovations required.
  • Identifying and analyzing requirements to mitigate workflow and pedestrian disruptions.
  • Recommendations on new equipment.
  • Replacement and new installations.
  • Reviewing available data and consulting with the Aviation Department to clarify and define requirements, troubleshooting, and repairs.
  • Providing all transportation, labor, tools, PPE, supervisions, and permits, if applicable to perform the following:
    • Power
    • Distribution
    • Lighting

    • Panels

The City of Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) is seeking proposals from qualified vendors to provide advanced detection technology and assist with its installation at designated intersections. This effort supports a comparative analysis to identify the most suitable detection solution for the City. The selected detection systems must reliably identify all roadway users, including vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and scooters.

Participating vendors will engage in a field evaluation and must provide all necessary equipment, software, and installation assistance. The City intends to award a three-year contract with two optional one-year renewals, for a total potential term of five years. Evaluation criteria include detection capabilities, ease of installation and maintenance, technical compliance, feature set, data quality, experience, and cost competitiveness.
