Landscape Power Equipment and Maintenance Services

The Charlotte Fire Department is soliciting a contract for the purchase of landscape power equipment and maintenance of such at City of Charlotte Fire Stations. In addition, this contract shall provide replacements for CFD Emergency Response power equipment such as chain saws and rotary saws. This contract will include four (4) new fire stations built over the contract term including four (4) ladder companies.  This contract shall include a replacement schedule for aged-out equipment as well.

Domestic Appliances Repair Services

The Charlotte Fire Department is seeking qualified service providers specializing in domestic appliance repair to support maintenance and repair of a variety of essential household appliances for 45 fire houses. The scope of service includes repairs for kitchen ranges (both gas and electric), dishwashers, refrigerators, clothes washers, clothes dryers, and ice machines. Service providers must demonstrate expertise in diagnosing and resolving issues across these appliances, ensuring they function efficiently and reliably. Timely response, adherence to quality standards, and excellent customer service are essential to meet expectations and maintain satisfaction. Interested parties are invited to submit proposals outlining their experience, capabilities, pricing structures, and any relevant certifications or licenses.

Fire Station Domestic Appliances

The Charlotte Fire Department is seeking a vendor to supply a range of domestic appliances. The goal of this solicitation is  to enhance operational efficiency by providing reliable equipment, improve the living conditions of firefighters during their shifts, and ensure strict adherence to safety standards to maintain the well-being of fire station personnel.

HURST Jaws of Life

The City of Charlotte is seeking a new contract for HURST Jaws of Life. The City has determined Hurst Jaws of Life tools to be the best fit for emergency rescue purposes. These tools are used to free trapped occupants from motor vehicle collisions, machinery accidents, and other rescue situations.

Firefighting Foam Concentrate

The Charlotte Fire Department is requesting a new contract for firefighting foam services. Work to be performed under this contract is to purchase firefighting foam concentrate. The foam is used to extinguish flammable liquid fires and prevent fires from hydrocarbon fuel spills. This product is standardized within CFD and is carried on all engines, ladders, tankers, and several specialized units.

Ornamental Aluminum Fencing

The Charlotte Fire Department is requesting a new contract for fencing installation services. Work to be performed under this contract is to furnish and install an approximately 960’x 8′ tall ornamental aluminum fence with four (4) single gates. The location of the fence will be in the back parking lot of the Charlotte Fire Department Headquarters.

CCPA Fire EMS Supplies

The Charlotte Fire Department (CFD) provides EMS- First Responder emergency services from 43 fire stations. Various supplies are needed to provide first responders with medical aid and basic life support. Supplies include but are not limited to, bandages, airway devices, EMS gloves, splints, OB kits, stethoscopes, blood pressure cuffs, EMS equipment bags, etc.

The scope of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) will be to establish a contract for the purchase and delivery of EMS Supplies and other inherently related activities of the Products and Services in compliance with the specifications and terms and conditions outlined in this ITB.

All Products and component parts furnished under the solicitation shall be new, shall comply with the specifications and terms and conditions outlined in the ITB, and shall operate in full compliance with the Specifications.

Firefighting Hoses and Nozzles

The Charlotte Fire Department is requesting a new solicitation for Snap-Tite brand fire hose and Akron brand nozzles. These hose and nozzle combinations are replaced on average every  10-years, consistent with the apparatus replacement cycle. All materials must meet the minimum requirements of the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). The Fire Department will only accept hose that is manufactured, coupled and tested in the U.S.A.

Fire Personal Protective Equipment

The Charlotte Fire Department is requesting a new solicitation for firefighting personal protective equipment. This request is specifically for firefighting boots, helmets, and gloves. These items are required for structural firefighting and technical rescue operations. The specific items must meet the standards established by the National Fire Protection Association.
