South End-Around Taxiway (SEAT)
As part of the Fourth Parallel Runway Program at CLT, an end-around taxiway is required at the south end of new Runway 1C-19C and existing Runway 18C-36C. This project will construct the South End-Around Taxiway (SEAT). The project includes erosion and sedimentation control, grading, drainage, retaining wall construction, airfield concrete and asphalt paving, marking, and airfield lighting/signage to construct the SEAT. The new taxiway will meet FAA Taxiway Design Group (TDG) 5 requirements.

Charlotte Water, a Department of the City of Charlotte NC, will be advertising a Request for Proposals (RFP) to acquire an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) system and related products, software, and services (collectively, the “System”), for all of its approximately 325,000 water meters. Charlotte Water is issuing a separate RFP for the labor to install the AMI system. Charlotte Water intends for the successful vendor of this solicitation to be the prime contractor for the entire project to install an AMI system, utilizing the successful proposer of the AMI Installation RFP as a sub-contractor under one agreement with Charlotte Water. This will allow Charlotte Water to evaluate AMI Vendors separate from Installation Companies and make selections of the Vendor and the Installer independently.

Charlotte Water is issuing a separate RFP for the AMI system hardware and software (the “System”), and Charlotte Water intends to engage in one contract with the successful AMI system proposer. Furthermore, Charlotte Water expects the successful labor services proposer to act as sub-contractor to the successful AMI System proposer under one contract to install the complete AMI System. This will allow Charlotte Water to evaluate Installation Companies separate from AMI systems and make selections of the system and the installer independently while still managing one contract during the implementation phase.
The basic components of the Project sought by Charlotte Water include the following:
Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Project (SDIP) Series K contains three separate storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures (standard and non-standard), storm drainpipe systems, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments), foundation protection and any other associated work required by the Engineer.
