Charlotte Water is seeking qualified contractors to provide trenchless relining methods to sewer drain lines 6 inches in diameter or smaller located in industrial and administrative facilities. The intent is to rehabilitate aging building sewers, extend service life, reduce infiltration/exfiltration, and restore reliable service without full pipe replacement.

Dewatering and Cleaning of Process Tanks Service
The Charlotte Water Wastewater Management Facilities (WWMF) digesters are critical infrastructure at the WWMF, which provide environmental stabilization of solids prior to being removed from the site for final disposal. The effectiveness and performance of the digesters and their associated equipment, piping, and valves are negatively impacted by trash, grit, etc. that has accumulated in the tanks. The Charlotte Water Wastewater Management Facilities (WWMF) digested sludge storage dewatering equipment is in need of dewatering and cleaning.

This project will increase treatment capacity at the McDowell WRRF. Work will include but is not limited to designing a new BTB, RAS and WAS pumps, a new RAS distribution box, new hydro cyclones, and improvements to the blower building.

About the project: The purpose of the Bryant Farms Road Extension, Phase II project is to continue the street connection of Bryant Farms Road between Rea Road and Ardrey Kell Road. The design is anticipated to include a two-lane road with turn lanes, shared-use path on both sides of the road, and improvements at the intersections of Bryant Farms Road with Rea Road, Tom Short Road, and Ardrey Kell Road. The project will also build a crossing over Flat Branch stream and will run adjacent to the Flat Branch Nature Preserve for a portion of the project.

The Office of Sustainability and Resilience (OSR), as part of the Special Initiatives Department, is responsible for guiding the implementation of the Strategic Energy Action Plan+. SEAP+ goals are integrated across the community, including internal and external partnerships and connections throughout the city organization, business community, and residents. To support implementation of this updated plan, the city’s OSR is issuing this RFP for as-needed sustainability support consulting services.
The city is seeking to enter into on-call contracts with two or more firms, on a negotiated Task Order, project-by-project basis, under the awarded contract(s). The City will issue Task Orders with details concerning the services to be provided by the Consultant. Each Task Order will identify key staff who will be assigned by the Consultant to work on the specific project identified in the Task Order.

CLT Center Roadway Improvements
This Project will construct an exit lane from the southwest corner of the Charlotte Douglas International Airport’s (“CLT”) Express Deck Self Park to outbound North Josh Birmingham Parkway. Additional directional markings and building signage will be installed along CLT Center Drive. Lastly, this Project proposes pedestrian sidewalk and crosswalk improvements along CLT Center Drive and at the intersection with Harlee Avenue.
The Project consists of an undetermined number of individual projects consisting of water and/or sewer extensions, water and/or sewer replacements, low-pressure sanitary sewer, water distribution system reliability improvement projects, and/or sanitary sewer capacity assurance projects, which will be assigned by the Project Engineer.
