The City of Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) is responsible for the removal of snow and ice on City maintained streets. Additional resources are needed to clear streets during extraordinary winter weather events. Contractors provide additional dump truck and plowing equipment with licensed operators to supplement City services.

This contract will provide installation services for small-diameter water and sewer service connections within the Charlotte Water service area. It will replace the existing FY24 Small Service Contract #2. The project ensures continued expansion and maintenance of service connections across the region.

This project consists of multiple isolated storm drainage improvements projects located throughout the City of Charlotte. Projects include storm drainage replacement and sewer relocations within the street right-of-way and private, residential properties.

Fawnbrook Ln (514) Storm Drainage Improvement Project
The need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality. Bus Fire Extinguisher Service and Inspections
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Bus Operations Division (BOD) anticipates contracting out for the inspection and service of fire extinguishers on up to 400 vehicles at the locations of 901 North Davidson and 3145 South Tryon. Inspections will take place annually and will be serviced if necessary. This is a 5 year contract (3+1+1).

This contract will be for fiber optic cable physical locating, marking, and positive responses to NC811 of CDOT’s underground infrastructure as required by the Underground Utility Safety and Damage Prevention Act, Article 8A of Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes. Work provided under this contract is to supplement CDOT’s current in-house locates unit and will cover the city of Charlotte limits.
