The Charlotte Area Transit System is seeking to acquire Traffic Signal Cabinets, Risers and Accessible Pedestrian Signal (APS) parts for the Gold Line Phase 2 project. These items are required to be interchangeable and function with the existing infrastructure used by the Charlotte Department of Transportation.

Corrosion Control Design, Inspection, and Monitoring
CLTWater is seeking a consultant to provide design and testing of corrosion protection services for various water and sewer utility-related projects. These projects may include the construction of sewer mains, water mains, relocation of water and sewer utilities for roadway and light rail transit improvement projects, rehabilitation of existing structures and other projects as determined by CLTWater.

Elevated Storage Tank Engineering Services
The Project consists of designing multiple new elevated storage tanks ranging in size from approximately 1.5 MG to 3.0 MG. CLTWater intends for the selected Company to provide services for three elevated storage tanks. The selected firm would also be asked to evaluate the quality of additional existing storage tanks in the CLTWater system.

McAlpine Creek WWMF-Thermal Hydrolysis Preliminary Equipment
The City intends to develop a regional Class A biosolids facility at the McAlpine Creek Wastewater Management Facility (WWMF). Master planning identified thermal hydrolysis pretreatment (THP) followed by anaerobic digestion as the desired process for producing Class A biosolids. As part of implementation of THP at the McAlpine Creek WWMF, this RFP is being issued to solicit THP system proposals from qualified vendors.

The City requires a qualified and manufacturer-authorized Freightliner, Sterling, and Western Star heavy equipment dealer to work in conjunction with Fleet Management. The Company shall perform repair, replacement, maintenance, diagnostic, warranty repair and representation, and related Services on the City’s fleet of various models and years of Freightliner, Sterling, and Western Star heavy equipment owned and operated by the City at their Company facilities or at approved City locations.

Charlotte Water is seeking a Company to provide as-needed leak detection services on residential, commercial, and City-owned property/infrastructure (collectively referred to as “Service Groups”). The Company shall locate and verify the actual water line requiring repairs. A Contract with one Company is sought, but Charlotte Water may recommend award to multiple Companies to meet the needs for both Services Groups.

CMGC HVAC Replacement Construction Manager-at-Risk
City of Charlotte (City) is seeking to acquire the services of a Construction Manager-at-Risk (CMR) for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center HVAC Replacement Project (Project). The Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) estimate for the Project is $20,400,000 (the Target GMP Range).
The City has selected CMTA, Inc. (Mechanical Engineer) to provide mechanical design services for replacement of the HVAC system in the existing 14 story, nominally 440,000 square foot facility located at 600 East 4th Street (parcel number 223-132-08). This facility is known as the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (CMGC) and houses several City and County Departments.
The CMR shall contract directly with the City for all construction; shall publicly advertise as prescribed in NCGS 143-129; and shall prequalify and accept all bids from first-tier subcontractors for all construction work under this section. The CMR shall use the prequalification process determined by the City in accordance with NCGS 143-135.8.
Construction will be phased and start in August 2021, and is anticipated to be complete in August 2025. The facility will remain open and in operation during the construction period.

This contract consists of an undetermined number of individual projects consisting of water and/or sewer replacements, water and/or sewer extensions, and water distribution system reliability improvement projects, which will be assigned by the Project Engineer.
