Preventive Maintenance (signals/cabinets) – CANCELLED
The City operates and maintains 775 traffic signals throughout the City of Charlotte and ensures preventative maintenance is performed on all traffic signals every 12 to 18 months. The contracts will provide preventative maintenance of traffic signals for all traffic signals in the City. Preventative maintenance work includes testing and confirming correct operation of all components and cleaning of pedestrian and traffic signal lenses.

Siphon Pipe Inspection and Cleaning Services – CANCELLED
Charlotte Water will be soliciting proposals from interested companies for siphon pipe inspection and cleaning services. Charlotte Water will be awarding a contract to perform planned siphon pipe inspections and cleaning on a re-occurring maintenance schedule with a standard frequency.
A Charlotte Water representative shall be present when the final cleaning runs are made to ensure cleanliness and will make the final decision on whether the cleaned siphon is acceptable or not. When available, construction drawings of the siphon(s) to be cleaned will be provided.

Uniform T-Shirts
Charlotte Water is one of the largest public water and wastewater service providers in the southeast. This solicitation will be to provide Charlotte Water employees located in various locations throughout the City of Charlotte and Mecklenburg County with non-embroidered and City and/or Charlotte Water embroidered uniform and work-related T-Shirts. T-Shirts may include, but are not limited to, short sleeve, long sleeve, pocketed, and non-pocketed types.
This ITB will be targeted to SBEs only. Companies wishing to submit a Bid for this ITB shall be a city-certified SBE by the Bid Opening date and time.

Emergency Bagged Ice
The City of Charlotte is looking to receive quotes for Emergency Bagged Ice. The intent of this resulting contract is to be pre-positioned in the event a state of emergency has been declared by the Governor of North Carolina and/or federally declared disaster area as designated by the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA). The Company would be required to deliver bags of ice and a merchandiser for storage to specified locations by a City department during the emergency event.
This solicitation will be to select a a firm to perform a power study and start to replace the current commercial level UPS and inverters for all 15 communications cabinet on the Blue Line. The current UPS and inverters for all 15 communications cabinet have a life expectancy of eight years. They are at the end of life and must be replaced to prevent failures that impact the operation of communications to vital Signal and Traction Power operations. Likewise, environmental control/monitoring systems that support the communications houses has reached end of life and must be addressed to continue supporting the critical network equipment in each communications house. FY2019 – request to continue the system upgrade of the Blue Line and complete any outstanding items not covered in FY18.
