Fuel Line Replacement (Canceled Re-Advertise Later Date)
Replace the fuel lines serving the Bank of America and Wilson Air fuel dispending cabinets from the fuel farm. The work includes a combination of fuel line removal/replacement and piping/dispenser cabinet modifications. The associated civil site work includes demolition, minor fencing, asphalt pavement milling, pavement removal, asphalt paving, and landscaping.

Zone 4 Warehouse Storage Project
Charlotte Water is building a new warehouse that requires storage equipment such as pallet racks, shelving, flammable cabinets, and industrial parts drawers. One company is sought to perform turnkey services including load verification, type and quantities of equipment, layout and design, facilitation of building permitting, procurement, and installation. Installation is expected to be completed in Spring 2023.

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is the largest Rail Transit System in North Carolina and has various maintenance and parts needs along the rail lines. Western-Cullen-Hayes, Inc. is the original supplier and the original equipment manufacturer (OEM) for CATS BLE Grade Crossing Parts and Integrity Wire was utilized to supply Gate Arms Spares. The awarded bidder will have to also make minor repairs. In order to upkeep the BLE Grade Crossing CATS is in need of a contract for spare parts.

Lock and Core Replacement at Existing Facilities
Obtain a contract to purchase locks and cores to replace the outdated locks and cores on CATS existing facilities on the south corridor of the Blue Line . The locks and cores will be purchased and pinned by a certified locksmith and will be consistent with what CATS currently uses, which is, Schlage Everest “T” keyway, 6 pin large format, removable cores, and some non-removable cores. The cores would all be pinned according to CATS biting information. The locks and cores will be installed on CATS facilities by CATS Security staff.

CLT Airport Biometric Facial Recognition for International Exit
The Charlotte Douglas International Airport, a City of Charlotte department, needs the selected proposer to act as a system integrator and system manager for the term of the agreement providing all software, hardware, equipment, and implementation services that include, but are not limited to, millwork modification design, hardware and software configuration, interface development, project management, commissioning, training, and support, for an automated biometric facial recognition boarding gate system that will connect to U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Traveler Verification System (TVS), supporting the airport’s commitment to CBP for biometric international exit and a commitment to passenger safety and privacy.

Charlotte Water Tree Removal Services
The City will be requesting proposals from experienced and qualified companies to provide various tree and vegetation removal services for Charlotte Water, as a result of water and sanitary sewer construction performed by Charlotte Water, as an after-hour/holiday/weekend emergency service, and in the event of an immediate disaster emergency within the area, such as a natural disaster.
The City shall indicate and designate all trees, shrubs, plants, and other objects that are to remain or be removed. Any damage to natural terrain, vegetation, or objects designated to remain shall be immediately repaired or replaced as determined by the City, at the company’s expense.
The company will be required, at the minimum, to perform the following:

Citywide Division Wrecker Towing Services
The City is seeking vendors to provide Division Wrecker towing for the thirteen Police divisions throughout the City for the use by Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD), Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT – ParkIt), and Housing and Neighborhood Services (HNS – Code Enforcement). Police divisions include Central, Eastway, Freedom, Hickory Grove, Independence, Metro, North, North Tryon, Providence, South, Steele Creek, University City, and Westover.
At the City’s discretion, a vendor may be awarded a contract for one or more divisions. Vendors will be responsible for performing towing, storing, releasing, or dispensing any disabled motor vehicles. Services to be included are towing of disabled cars, code violations, and illegally parked vehicles. The rates for these services will be established by the City.
This project will install single‐mode fiber optic cable installed in new directionally bored, hand-dug, and trenched conduit, existing conduit, and aerial attachments to poles. This project includes entrances and interconnect equipment for existing traffic signal control cabinets and the installation of traffic management cameras. This project also includes fiber optic cable splicing, testing, Ethernet communications equipment, traffic management camera equipment, and other related activities.
