The Building Services Division of the General Services Department/Engineering and Project Management is responsible for maintaining a portfolio of approximately 180 buildings, including offices, fire stations, police division offices, and equipment shops, that house various City activities. The City also maintains cultural facilities, including museums and arenas that serve as venues for sports, entertainment, and other events. Contracts resulting from this RFP may be used by various City departments for needs across the entire City organization.
The City plans to contract with one or more Companies to provide Repair and Replacement of Blinds, Shades, Shutters and Window Treatments. The City is seeking firms whose combination of experience and expertise will provide professional, timely, and cost-effective services to the City.
The Company shall provide Services at various locations as needed. No representation or guarantee is made regarding the quantity of work to be awarded under any as-needed service contract. A Company may be awarded multiple tasks or none at all. It is not anticipated that any single task will exceed $50,000.
The Company shall supply all required expertise, labor, tools, equipment, materials and services in accordance with plans, specifications, and performance standards and in accordance with good practices, any and all codes pertaining thereto, and to the satisfaction of the City. The Company further agrees to obtain all licenses and permits required for the work, as applicable.

The Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) requires the use of traffic signal copper wire for electrical and communication cabling during the installation of loops and signals. The material is necessary for routine installation and maintenance related projects.
This solicitation is a Request for Information on the standard and best way to procure traffic signal copper wire over three years with the option to renew for two additional one-year terms.

Owners Advisor for the Clarke Creek Pumping Station and Force Main
This project will involve the construction of at least one pumping station and force main to transfer flows from east Mecklenburg county to a wastewater treatment plant within the Catawba River Basin. Gravity sewer improvements may be necessary to the receiving sewer. CLTWater is proposing installation of a new Clarke Creek Pumping Station and Force Main which would involve constructing a new pumping station close to the Mecklenburg-Cabarrus County Line, in order to divert the entire Clarke Creek Basin flows to the McDowell Creek WWTP.
Progressive Design Build (PDB) is the recommended delivery model for this project. Due to critical project schedule and potential for complex multicriteria alternatives and risk analysis, Owner’s Advisor (OA) services will be needed. In addition to decision analysis support, the selected OA scope will include scheduling and budgeting support for all phases of the project as it progresses, including monitoring design development for compliance with contract cost and schedule.

Charlotte Water is seeking Concrete & Asphalt Cleaning services, which may include roads, sidewalks, driveways, and other pavement structures throughout the Charlotte Water service area. The Company shall be available twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and able to respond to calls for service within two hours after receiving a call from the City.

As a part of COVID-19 prevention the City of charlotte General Services has started an initiative to replace all city bathroom fixtures with hands free devices to reduce the amount of contact required when using facilities. This project will replace all sink faucets, toilet flush mechanisms, and add bottle fillers at the bathrooms located in South Tryon Bus Facility, North Davidson Bus Facility, Charlotte Transportation Center, North Rail yard and South Boulevard Light Rail Facility.

This airfield construction project is to expand portions of the ramp to provide the capability to taxi two aircraft simultaneously around the east perimeter of Concourses D and E. Work includes but is not limited to pavement demolition, grading, airfield PCC pavement section, asphalt shoulders, airfield marking, and airfield electrical.
