Charlotte Douglas International Airport  is seeking statement of qualifications (“SOQ”) from qualified and experienced firms (individually or collectively, the “Firm”) interested in providing Commissioning Professional Services for the Concourse A Expansion Phase 2.

• Commissioning must be completed to ensure that all building systems are installed and perform interactively according to the Owner’s program and their program requirements
• Verification that applicable equipment and systems are installed according to the manufacturer’s recommendations and to industry accepted minimum standards and that each receives adequate operational checkout by installing Contractors.
• Verification that O&M documentation that is required of the Contractor is complete.

PSR-898 and 1225

The project of renovations of the D/E Connector, starting at the Atrium and encompassing the primary circulation path of the eastern portion of the Passenger Terminal Building to the end of the existing moving walkways and all areas south of that path, up to the Concourse C Connector.  The project includes the following:

a) Repositioning the major passenger circulation route of the D/E connector between the Atrium to the end of the moving walkways at the approach of Concourse D;

b) Relocating the airline lounge space from the departure level to an upper-level location while expanding it to 40,000 square feet;

c) Providing a new passenger destination and experience at the departures level that will provide increased financial returns to the airport; and

d) Providing service area at the apron level to help with operations within the DECO area.

This contract is for water and sanitary sewer service installations including connection to the existing public main, which extends a small diameter line to the property.  Additionally, a water meter box or sanitary sewer cleanout is included. Customers pay connection fees for the installation service, which is based on costs incurred by Charlotte Water in these contracts. The work covered by this contract will provide approximately 800 total services.

PSR 1291

Park Avenue Road crossing is experiencing a degraded roadbed infrastructure issue that is affecting the safe passage of pedestrians. If a crossing renewal is not made, the roadbed substructure will continue to degrade which would affect the safe passage of vehicular and LRV traffic. Park Avenue Road crossing is a tub system in which crossing tubs are placed on a graded, compacted roadbed, rails are housed with a concrete insert that secures the rails through the grade crossing.

Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) is looking to purchase and install 2 Steam bay bus lifts for the South Tryon Maintenance facility. The project includes removal of the old steam bay lifts.  The delivery date would need to be during business hours, with the vendor having direct contact with the Equipment Manager, based on equipment and time availability once the Procurement process is complete (6-8 weeks).

Median Object Markers are installed throughout the City by the Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT).   These markers give clear indications of separations of lanes and the location of roadway medians on City streets.  The markers are bolted into asphalt or concrete to assist with traffic flow by providing clarity of lane locations in highly congested areas for both daytime and nighttime driving.

The solicitation is to establish a contract to purchase the Median Object Markers and the necessary hardware, for two years with the option to renew for three additional one-year terms.

Design and construction of a Lift Station and Forcemain to transfer wastewater flows from Belmont to the Charlotte Water sanitary sewer collection system.
