Storm drainage systems convey rainwater to reduce flooding, protect property, and ensure public safety. Storm Water Services is responsible for smaller streams and manmade drainage systems draining less than one square.

Charlotte Area Transit System’s Rail division is looking to purchase reusable bulk pack commercial shipping containers and pallets for warehouse storage and shipping repairs to various vendors. Containers will protect the LRV equipment/ spare parts during shipping and storage in the warehouse. Purchase of containers will reduce the cost of buying wood to build to ship repair parts out to vendor’s for repair.

Community Support Response Program
The City of Charlotte is seeking a qualified entity, with a local presence – or a collaborative partnership between qualified entities, each with a local presence – to provide community support services to community members who are experiencing problems related to mental health, depression, poverty, homelessness and/or substance abuse issues. The selected vendor or vendors will provide certified Emergency Medical Technicians (EMTs) and Licensed Behavioral Health Clinicians (Clinicians) to staff a non-law enforcement pilot program to respond to low-risk behavioral health calls for service and assess and connect residents in distress with appropriate services. Vendors are invited to apply to provide either EMTs, Clinicians, or both for this program.

Charlotte Water will purchase heavy duty truck bodies for replacement vehicles, and new vehicles that may be needed for future operations. Utility truck bodies are installed on separate cab/chassis assemblies which are purchased from a different vendor that is already under contract. The truck bodies purchased on this contract come in different configurations based on the intended use of each specific vehicle. They are installed on trucks used by construction crews in the course of field maintenance and repair tasks throughout the water and wastewater system.

The project consists of removing and properly disposing of all materials currently stored in Digester No. 5 and cleaning Digester No. 5 located at McDowell Creek Waste Water Treatment Plant in Huntersville, NC. Material stored in the digester may have been in place for up to 15 years and includes but is not limited to: grit, digested bio-solids, water and rags.
The Company shall transport and dispose of the materials removed from the digester to an appropriately permitted, licensed, EPA Subtitle D landfill facility of the Company’s choice. Material removal, transportation and disposal shall be performed in accordance with all applicable local, state and federal laws. If the material is deemed allowable for land application and Company has permit to land apply, then the material may be removed and land applied.

This contract is for water and sanitary sewer service installations including connection to the existing public main, which extends a small diameter line to the property, and includes a water meter box or sanitary sewer cleanout. Customers pay connection fees for the installation service, which is based on costs incurred by Charlotte Water in these contracts. The work covered by this contract will provide approximately 800 total services.

Act as an Owner’s Agent for daily operational and Construction related projects and tasks as needed. These include, but are not limited to: TMA/IMA tasks, internal team tasks, Informal projects, Formal (Capital) projects, other duties as assigned.
Assist in the review of Construction and/or Design Team generated drawings and specifications as required to install, test and certify new infrastructure for each design review period, between new outlet and equipment device locations, Communications Equipment Rooms and/or Cabinets, and Communications rooms as it relates to the new system installation, and advise CLT Technology Infrastructure of compliance with standards applicable to each entity.
Recommend inclusion into the design any necessary cabling infrastructure and pathway recommendations to CLT Technology Infrastructure as practical to accommodate future expansion of known campus infrastructure and future tie-ins to planned facilities.
Review shop drawings, answer Design Team, Contractor and CLT generated Requests for Information, observe the installation as Agent for CLT Technology Infrastructure, and verify compliance with the Design Documents and CLT Technology directives.
Provide Construction Services to include meeting attendance. These meetings may include pre-construction meetings, OAC Meetings, and other meetings as directed by CLT Technology Infrastructure. Also, perform Construction Observation site visits, identify potential problem areas, generate punch lists as required, recommend solutions and provide reports to CLT Technology Infrastructure for distribution.
If the company is already engaged as a designer for Communications/Telecom/Special systems, etc., for a project, then the ability to act as an Owner’s Agent, for the same project, under this scope shall be null and void
The City of Charlotte maintains a large and modern traffic signal system and has for many years used standardized materials and equipment. All materials and equipment used to maintain this system are required to be interchangeable and function with the existing infrastructure.
This solicitation is for the purchase of 8″ and 12″ LED Traffic Signal Modules. All signal modules must meet the regulations and requirements concerning traffic signal lighting in the state of North Carolina. The Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) would like to establish a one-year contract with the option to renew for four (4) additional one-year terms.
