The purpose and need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality. RFQ: Design-Builder – CMPD Helicopter Hangar Relocation
Relocation of existing CMPD Helicopter Hangar to an off-site location alongside Billy Graham Parkway will be performed via Alternative Delivery Method, specifically Progressive Design-Build (D/B). FAA regulatory studies, analysis, coordination and permitting is a requirement of this projects scope. A Design Build team will be solicited to implement the project scope.

Main Terminal Air Handling Unit Replacements: AHU-6, AHU-49
The scope of this project is to replace AHU-6 and AHU-49 with new AHUs. New controls, ductwork, associated VAV’s and piping will be installed as part of a complete unit replacement. Each AHU replacement will require a detailed construction phasing process to ensure limited system downtime. Temporary AHUs will be installed as needed during the equipment replacement.

Traffic Control Devices
The City of Charlotte is seeking a new contract for Traffic Control Devices. The City of Charlotte maintains a large and modern traffic signal system and has for many years used standardized materials and equipment. This system is complex and requires dedicated maintenance and oversight management to ensure that it functions as necessary. All materials and equipment used to maintain this system are required to be interchangeable and function with the existing infrastructure.

Trip Hazard Removal Services
The City of Charlotte vendor will provide Services that consist of the removal of concrete tripping hazards from sidewalks, curb ramps, and concrete curbing in the City of Charlotte’s sidewalk system that the City or its agents have identified. The identified concrete tripping hazards will be repaired without use of typical destructive construction methods, i.e. panel demolition and replacement. All work produced shall be compliant with the Public Right-of-Way Accessibility Guidelines (PROWAG) requirements for slope and Occupational Safety and Health Administration requirements for traction. Tripping hazards are defined as any change in vertical elevation more than 1/4”. The vendor is responsible for all traffic control in accordance with the most recent Work Area Traffic Control Handbook (“WATCH”), which can be found at https://charlottenc.gov/Transportation/Permits/Pages/RightofWayUse.aspx Any debris resulting from the removal of trip hazards shall be disposed of in a legal manner.
While the City is flexible with respect to certain elements of the Citywide Trip Hazard Removal Services, the City has specific requirements and preferences for the Service delivery method.
The City of Charlotte vendor shall identify and repair the trip and fall hazards that are ¼” to 2 ½” in height in the City of Charlotte’s sidewalk system. The City of Charlotte vendor shall repair hazards greater than 2 ½” where the thickness of the concrete is greater than 4″.

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Safety and Security division anticipates contracting for comprehensive maintenance covering the following systems:
The goal of this RFP is to secure a single vendor capable of providing comprehensive maintenance and support services for the Access Control and Camera Systems under one unified agreement. The camera system comprises equipment from multiple manufacturers, including Pelco, Panasonic, and Axis. The selected vendor must demonstrate the capability to support all components of the system, regardless of manufacturer.
The vendor will be responsible for ensuring reliable performance, timely troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical support for both the Access Control and Camera Systems. This includes the repair or replacement of camera hardware as needed to maintain full system functionality.
