Charlotte Water is soliciting Statement of Qualifications from a qualified engineering firm to provide survey, design, contract administration, and construction management (if necessary) of multiple pipeline replacement projects and other General Services as requested by the City. All work will be located within the Charlotte Water service area. The projects will be assigned to the Engineer during the course of the contract period as they become available. Projects may vary in size, length and scope, and are to be completed according to the individual project schedule.

FY23 Water Service Replacement
This contract will be a work order based contract to provide construction services to Charlotte Water for the relocation or renewal of water services (3/4-inch and 1-inch), abandonment of small diameter water mains (12-inch and under), and installation of new water mains. The contract will consist of an undetermined number of individual water services relocations and other work areas throughout Mecklenburg County that will be assigned by the Engineer.

Basement Condenser Water Loop Extension
This project includes the extension of the existing basement refrigeration condenser water loop. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for the installation of a 2” refrigeration condenser water loop main extension from the basement level of the main terminal to a tie-in point on the ramp level baggage handling room. The awarded contractor shall be responsible for coordinating condenser water pipe routing with the Terminal Lobby Expansion contractor prior to construction. In addition, the awarded contractor shall coordinate existing condenser water system shutdown(s) as needed to complete the system tie-in.

This will be a turnkey project. Company shall provide and install all new equipment and all associated materials to match the engineered drawings and specifications. Replace one air handler on C concourse according to drawings produced by engineer. Estimated time of completion is less than 6 months

Aluminum Sheeting and Sign Posts
The Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) uses aluminum sheeting for the fabrication of traffic signs. Sign posts are used to mount aluminum traffic signs. The City seeks one or more vendors to establish a contract(s) for an initial term of three (3) years with two (2) one-year renewals.

The scope of this Invitation to Bid (ITB) is to establish a contract for the purchase and delivery of an All-Electric Class 8 Day Cab Tractor and other inherently related activities involved in the purchase and delivery of the product and services and in compliance with the specifications and terms and conditions set forth in this ITB. Beaverdam Creek Pump Station Expansion
This project includes upgrading the Beaverdam Creek Pump Station. Work will involve removing two sets of the existing two-stage pumps and installing four sets of two-stage pumps. Work also includes installing surge tanks and implementing interior modifications to the wet well to improve the hydraulics during self-cleaning operations.

FY 2021 Section 5310 Call For Projects
The Charlotte Area Transit System is soliciting proposals for the U.S. Department of Transportation Federal Transit Administration Enhanced Mobility of Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities Grant Program (Section 5310). Section 5310 funds are available for capital and operating expenses to support transportation projects that meet the special transportation needs of seniors (individuals 65 years and older) and individuals with disabilities. All projects must be situated in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Urbanized area and must be derived from the Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan for the Charlotte Urbanized Area (FY2022-FY2027). Eligible subrecipients include state or local government organizations, private nonprofit organizations, and operators of public transportation.

The Facilities Division of CLT maintains portfolio buildings, including terminals, offices, fire stations, tenant occupied spaces, and equipment shops. The intent of this solicitation is to select multiple companies to provide general contractor services for various airport properties on an as needed basis. The scope of services is required to assist the airport with renovations, remodels, and maintenance of existing facilities. Expenditures for each task estimated not to exceed $30,000 but companies may be assigned multiple tasks under the contract. The company shall provide services at various locations as needed. The city may solicit a quote for general contractor services from one or more companies prior to assigning an individual project.
