Charlotte Water is seeking a contract for the as needed purchase and delivery of liquid emulsion polymers for solids dewatering, thickening, and as a settling aid for Charlotte Water’s WWTPs. This solicitation will include a multistep process to first determine which polymers meet Charlotte Water’s needs (via trials), then to assess pricing and vendor responsibility.

HIRE Charlotte – Charlotte Talent Alignment Strategy Plans
Project Overview: The City of Charlotte has launched an initiative named HIRE Charlotte that seeks to 1) Align the city’s workforce ecosystem; 2) Create a navigable and streamlined process for jobseekers looking for job placement services; and 3) Develop a sustainable and highly-skilled talent pipeline for our employers.
The City is seeking a qualified consultant to execute a complementary phase of the HIRE Charlotte initiative that will develop “talent alignment strategy” plans for each target industry and sector including Finance and Insurance, Manufacturing, Transportation and Warehousing, Health and Life Sciences, Technology, Business, Management, and Administration, and Clean Energy. The goal for each plan is to define gaps in Charlotte’s workforce and education ecosystem and build a roadmap for talent development strategies within the respective target industry sector that the City and local workforce partners can implement to build a robust talent pipeline for new and existing employers.

The ETOD Policy and Implementation Plan will be developed to achieve the City’s goals of creating transit oriented development along the Silver Line is equitable, multimodal and economically resilient. There will be two phases to this Policy and Implementation Plan- Phase 1 will consist of a community driven road map to develop equitable policies that center around cultural, social, economical, and environmental resilience and housing stability within station areas. A co-created policy between vulnerable station-area community members and small business owners facing displacement risks. Phase 2 will focus on implementation and transforming policy frameworks into actionable steps.

CATS III 300K Truck Overhaul – CANCELLED
CATS III 300K TRUCK OVERHAUL-The vehicle’s system has reached the recommended maintenance intervals for performance. This project will accomplish the original equipment manufacturer requirements for the truck, hydraulic and braking portion of the OEM recommendations. The RCM department will support the Truck Overhaul project by removing and preparing for the shipment of the selected equipment. The Rail Inventory department will coordinate the shipment to the selected vendors for overhauls. The contracted vendor will perform the required maintenance to specifications and meet all the OEM standards.
Scope Statement:
The selected contractor will manage the complete project, which includes performing the truck equipment overhaul and serving as the contact for overhauling the Braking and Hydraulic equipment. The S70 Truck overhaul requires that the truck, hydraulic, and braking equipment systems be repaired per the OEM specifications.
From the Notice to Proceed (NTP), the vendor will order the equipment for the overhaul. The selected contractor will be required to overhaul, remove and replace/upgrade all identified equipment by the OEM. The contractor must pick up the prototype or the first set of trucks, perform the overhaul, and return each set of LRV equipment. Then according to the specified start schedule, the first car set, which comprises three trucks, will be picked up from the CATS facility and delivered to the contractor’s facility for overhaul.
The overhaul duration of the first and second trucks will be determined via RFP responses. It will include the delivery schedule upon receiving the RFP to include door-to-door pickup and delivery of all overhauled LRV equipment.

Cancelled- Thorncliff Drive (7316) Storm Drainage Improvement Project
The purpose and need for the construction project are to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality. This project is under review. Location and project details will be provided after the review is complete.
This project includes the removal of two high-density polyethene chemical storage tanks and mixers, the construction of a new chemical storage tank containment area, the installation of three new chemical storage tanks (two in the existing containment area and one in the new containment area), installation of a chemical mixer at each tank, installation of a new chemical metering pump in the new containment area, construction of an enclosed pump room within the containment areas, installation of new and replacement of piping, and construction of a canopy over the new containment area.
