Charlotte Water is seeking chemical companies to participate in trials for Magnesium Hydroxide.  Companies that participate in trials and chemical is qualified can provide pricing to the City.

CATS BOD is seeking to procure diesel particulate filters and catalytic converters used in the reduction of soot in the exhaust system.

Charlotte Water manages an extensive water distribution network throughout Mecklenburg County NC. Monitoring the pressure within this system remotely is crucial for ensuring its optimal performance. Charlotte Water is seeking to upgrade to smart hydrants. The new smart hydrants must maintain Charlotte Water’s current monitoring and reporting capabilities, including remote pressure reporting, historical data access, pressure zone grouping, and a web-based interface. Additionally, they must function even when the hydrant is off and provide reliable pressure readings throughout the year, including during freezing temperatures.

This will be a request for qualification for Design Services. The project scope includes; new clarifier, new thickener, filter replacement, electric and piping upgrades, etc. Anticipated 16 month design with 20 month construction.

Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility is a new 15 million gallons per day greenfield facility that will serve as CLTWater’s 6th Water Resource Recovery Facility. Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility will not have solids treatment onsite. The Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility solids pump station will send the solids stream to another CLTWater water resource recovery facility for treatment. This is a hard bid construction project to build the first phase of the offsite forcemain.

The City of Charlotte (City) plans to contract with one or more firm(s) to provide On-Call grounds maintenance services for various locations within the City of Charlotte and surrounding areas.

The Contractor shall provide all labor, equipment, supplies, and materials required to provide Grounds Maintenance for city owned properties. consists of but may not be limited to grounds maintenance, turf maintenance, shrub maintenance, groundcover maintenance, perennial maintenance, trash and debris removal, storm debris pickup, irrigation maintenance/ repair/operation, snow and ice removal, tree maintenance, and mulching, pesticide and herbicide application.

The Contractor agrees to an understanding of the current edition of the City of Charlotte-Landscape Management Division’s Landscape Construction Standards and to comply with the specifications and requirements described in this Contract.

The Contractor shall comply with applicable laws regulating the practice of pesticide applications as required by the NCDA. The Contractor will be required to continuously have at least one full-time employee on staff with the required license throughout the entire term of the contract.

The City of Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) is responsible for the removal of snow and ice on City maintained streets.  Additional resources are needed to clear streets during extraordinary winter weather events. Contractors  provide additional dump truck and plowing equipment with licensed operators to supplement City services.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requires the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) to inspect all light-rail bridges, elevated stations, walls, and culverts and stay current every two years.  There is also a 5-year inspection cycle for all parking decks. CATS is seeking a contractor to perform these services under a 6-year contract.

CATS is requesting a 5-year contract for  Maintenance of Way Blue Line Extension (BLE) traction control and traction power parts and service repairs. The construction company awarded the BLE used various rail manufacturer parts during the installation.
