Charlotte Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Initiative – Phase 3
The project involves the design / installation of solar photovoltaic systems at the following city facilities: PHASE 3: Firehouse 18 – 2337 Dr Webber Ave. and Firehouse 33 – 2001 Mt Holly-Huntersville Rd. The solar photovoltaic systems will be installed on the roofs of each location. This project will help the city reduce its carbon emissions according to the Strategic Energy Action
Plan.

Professional Consulting Services RFP
The City of Charlotte is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) to acquire professional consulting services for strategic planning, research, analysis, and development to improve local government operations. This multi-year contract will be awarded to multiple vendors that best meet its needs for these services.
The Consultant(s) shall be established, qualified, and experienced consulting firms capable of providing versatile strategic planning resources, support, and consultation in the local government arena.
The Consultant(s) must be capable of performing various tasks, up to and including, but not limited to:

Mallard Creek and Catawba Pump Station
Mallard Creek Water Treatment Project includes the installation of approximately 1.4 miles of fiber optic cable in new directionally bored and trenched conduit and aerial attachments. This project also includes fiber splicing and testing. The project limits are from N Tryon Street between Pavilion Boulevard and Pilot Avenue and then along Pilot Avenue to a Charlotte Water building. Then there is fiber splicing work being performed at N Tryon Street and Ken Hoffman Dr and N Tryon Street and E Mallard Creek Church Rd in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC. The Catawba Pump Station project includes the installation of approximately .93 miles of fiber optic cable in new directionally bored and trenched conduit and aerial attachments. This project also includes fiber splicing and testing. The project limits are from Mt Holly Huntersville Road between Brookshire Boulevard and Pump Station Road and then along Pump Station Road to a Charlotte Water building and Brookshire Boulevard and Lawton Road for 1000 feet in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC.

Sweden Road Water Quality Enhancement Project
This project consists of the installation of Storm Water structures including pipe, curb, manholes, headwalls, and hydrodynamic separators to improve water quality at the adjacent surface water.

Nuisance Abatement Services
The City of Charlotte is seeking to contract with one or more companies to provide nuisance abatement services when property owners fail to comply after legal notice. The contractors shall provide services that include but are not limited to mowing tall grass, weeds, and/or vegetation, removing yard waste, removing bulky curbside items, removing junk and debris, and/or securing (boarding up) residential and commercial structures found to be vacant and open.
The City is looking to award a contract for a term of three years with the option for (2) one-year renewal terms.

BOD shop equipment, tooling purchases and repairs
This is a request for a five-year goods and services contract for shop equipment, tools, and repairs.
Bus Operations Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance of the City Bus and Special Transportation Fleets. BOD Maintenance Department will be afforded the convenience of purchasing necessary shop equipment, tooling and equipment repairs as needed by having competitively sourced contracts in place for ongoing needs for maintenance and repairs.
Any ensuing contract will provide equipment, tooling and equipment repairs including, but not limited to, Medium/Heavy Duty truck specialty diagnostic and repair tools, Medium/Heavy Duty hydraulic jacking and stationary jack stands, Medium/Heavy Duty truck AC equipment and supplies, shop safety supplies and any repairs, repair parts and any accessories and related components necessary for new, retrofit or rebuild requirements.

The City of Charlotte is seeking a new contract for materials to maintain the City’s RRFB infrastructure. Work includes furnishing Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons (RRFB) in accordance with the current edition of the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) Traffic Signal Specifications, CDOT requirements.

Multi and Single Family Home Compliance Inspection Services
The Department of Housing & Neighborhood Services’ (HNS), Housing Services Division requires companies to provide residential housing inspection services. The City is looking to contract with one or more companies that perform multifamily rental compliance inspection services on residential structures and single-family home minimum housing code compliance and safety inspections. Companies have the option of submitting a proposal for one type of inspection service or both types of inspection services.
BOD requests a 5-year for contract for Bus Transmission and Transmission parts. The selected vendor would supply all Original Manufacturer transmission parts for all of Charlotte Area Transit System’s Bus Operations.
