CMPD Animal Care and Control Phase 3 Expansion
The purpose of the CMPD Animal Care and Control, Phase 3 Expansion project is primarily to provide additional kennels for dogs and reduce the increasing rate of euthanasia. Secondly, to provide additional space for other animals and improve the efficiencies of operations for the facility. The expansion of the facility will possibly be located at 2700 Toomey Avenue and the parcel is currently 4.67 acres. This is the old location for the Animal Humane Society. We are currently in the advanced planning phase to acquire a schematic design to confirm the estimated construction cost.
The Construction delivery system will be Progressive Design Build. It is also anticipated that the city will acquire an Owner’s Advisor to assist with procurement and additional services during design and construction.

This solicitation is needed to select a qualified consultant to assist with brand development, marketing, graphic design, website development and other marketing related services to implement recruitment campaigns for the CMPD.
Selected vendor shall provide brand development, marketing strategy, development, graphic design, website design and development, and other related services for developing and implementing a recruitment campaign for the Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD). 4th Parallel Runway Runway Package 1: Taxiway V and Connectors
The first phase of constructing the Fourth Parallel Runway at CLT is the southward extension of existing Taxiway V and construction of related connector taxiways. The project includes demolition, erosion and sedimentation control, grading, drainage, airfield concrete and asphalt paving, marking, fencing, and airfield lighting/signage. The new taxiway will meet FAA Taxiway Design Group (TDG) 5 requirements.

Miranda Road Firehouse 46
A new infill firehouse will be designed and constructed at 4032 Miranda Road to alleviate high call volumes and meet response time standards in the area. The firehouse will reflect the design of Firehouse #45, a 3-bay, 2-story firehouse programmed for approximately 14,600 square feet. The proposed facility will be located at the corner of Beatties Ford Road. Parcel #03741123 is approximately 6.54 acres. This location and site selection meets the City of Charlotte Policy for Sustainable City Facilities and Charlotte Fire Department Facilities Master Plan.

Firehouse #11 Replacement
Charlotte Firehouse #11 located at 620 W. 28th Street is one of the older CFD facilities. The building has a pressing need for repair and upgrades. This project will remove and replace the existing firehouse with a facility which meets modern day needs. The project will produce a new 17,000 SF, 4-bay two-story firehouse.
The City of Charlotte (the City) is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) to find a company and solution that can provide effective Cultural Competency Training for The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD). The City will award one vendor with a multi-year contract.
CMPD would like to equip its sworn and civilian employees to address the needs of multicultural community members and visitors through the creation of a cultural competency training curriculum specific to the City of Charlotte. The objective of the training curriculum is to help understand, respect, and appropriately respond to cultural norms when responding to the needs of these communities. The proposed training curriculum is to be customized for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.
