Charlotte Water, a City of Charlotte department is seeking contracts with multiple laboratories to supplement the City’s lab testing services (testing lab samples from WWTPs, WTPs, etc.) for tests that we do not perform and/or when our workload exceeds capacity for internal staff to complete on time.

Miscellaneous Planning and Design Services
The miscellaneous planning and design services may be used for multiple projects and is anticipated to include the selection of multiple consultants. The projects have not been identified but may include intersection improvements, road widening, bicycle or sidewalk projects, trail projects, new alignment projects, traffic analysis, pedestrian safety improvements, structural design, advanced planning and/or feasibility work. Projects will range in scope and size.
Urban Design Services
The urban design services may be used for multiple projects and will be a task order-based agreement. This selected consultant(s) will support the city by providing services that encompass planning, economic development urban design, historic preservation and placemaking. Projects will range in scope and size.
Grant Preparation Services
The city has applied for various state and federal grants (SS4A, RAISE, etc.) and is looking for consultant(s) to provide assistance with grant preparation services for future applications. The selected consultants will be expected to lead the effort in coordination with city staff to provide all services needed to apply for various state and federal grants. It is anticipated that multiple consultants may be selected for this task.

Zone 3 Stomwater and Site Improvements
This construction will improve site conditions at the Zone 3 Field Operation facility. Construction work will include stormwater settling basins, stormwater conveyance, and various site improvements. The design is already complete.

Knuckle-Boom Truck Body
Landscape Management’s landscape operations group maintains more than 1,500 acres of landscaping across more than 200 city properties, including operational, administrative, and community facilities; vacant parcels; nearly 1,000 medians; and six public spaces (Arequipa Park, Crescent Park, Five Points Public Plaza, The Green at Prosperity Village, The Ritz at Washington Heights and Thomas Polk Park). The group also installs new landscaping and controls excessive vegetation growth.
The Landscape Management Division seeks to establish a contract for a one-time purchase of a Knuckle-Boom Truck Body from a qualified vendor. The contract will be for the purchase, delivery, maintenance and repair, and training in compliance with the specifications and terms and conditions outlined in the Invitation To Bid.

HURST Jaws of Life
The City of Charlotte is seeking a new contract for HURST Jaws of Life. The City has determined Hurst Jaws of Life tools to be the best fit for emergency rescue purposes. These tools are used to free trapped occupants from motor vehicle collisions, machinery accidents, and other rescue situations.
Charlotte Storm Water Services / Construction
Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Project Series AA
Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer. Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments). Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential, and commercial properties.
Charlotte Storm Water Services / Construction
4101 High Ridge
This 4101 High Ridge Project will consist of 47 HP 12×53 steel piles for an approximate total of 1880 LF. The proposed culvert is an 12′ x 4′ Precast R.C Box Culvert for 45 LF. The endwalls will be Non-Standard Endwalls. There is also a pump around operation, relocation of a 12″ DI Restrained Joint Water Pipe, PC 350 for 52 LF, Concrete Culvert Foundation, and Traffic Control for Road Closure is needed to complete this project.
CMPD requests proposals from qualified vendors to conduct citizen surveys in the Charlotte regional area. The selected vendor will develop a survey process and methodology to measure Charlotte’s citizens’ sentiments on various topics. The vendor will create and administer surveys, tabulate results, and present a final product to CMPD in a written report and formal presentation(s).
The Contract will be effective for one (1) year (the “Initial Term”) with the option for two (2) two-year (2-year) renewals (the “Renewal Term”).
