This project will be to source a company to provide Charlotte Water with an electric pump and motor repair service.  Some work will include repairs on explosion-proof (“EX”)-rated motors designed for use in hazardous areas and motor drive units.  Work shall be performed to achieve a consistent, high-quality repair and/or reconditioning of a failed motor, and shall restore the motor to as-manufactured condition with the least service interruption feasibly possible.  Service shall also include repairs to close-coupled pumps, such as submersible units.

  1. City-maintained roadways.
  2. Traffic control signs and supports on selected state and all city roadways.
  3. Pavement markings on selected state and all city roadways.
  4. Sidewalks and accessible ramps on city roadways
  5. Other vertical elements within the roadway such as tubular delineators, curbing, medians etc.

A condition analysis of the assets will be included with the inventory The analysis will provide a database of information that will be utilized for work management as well as emergency services during hazardous conditions. 

The vendor will provide separate ESRI geodatabases with each asset category.  Specific table schemas for each asset will be determined prior to data collection.

Work performed under this transportation repair (TR) contract will consist of storm water infrastructure maintenance, repair and maintenance projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer. Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments). Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.
