Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2022-A

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer. Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments). Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within the street right-of-way. |

Graham Street Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) Project
This project will install approximately 2.5 miles of 72 count single-mode fiber optic cable installed in mostly existing conduit. There are also small portions of new directionally bored, hand-dug, and trenched conduit. This project includes entrances and communications equipment for six existing traffic signal control cabinets and the installation of seven traffic management cameras. The project limits are North Graham Street beginning at West Sugar Creek Road to Mallard Creek Road to West WT Harris Boulevard. This project includes fiber optic cable splicing, testing, Ethernet equipment communications, and traffic management cameras and equipment.

CFD Promotional Processes
This contract is for the provision of a qualified Company to assist the City of Charlotte Fire Department (CFD) with yearly rank testing, specifically developing and implementing the testing materials for yearly Promotional Processes for the ranks of Entry Level (EL), Fire Fighters (FF), Captain, Engineer, Battalion Chief, and Division Chief. Multiple processes may be run over the course of a calendar year depending upon the needs of CFD.

Charlotte Water maintains over 100,000 sanitary sewer manholes. This contract will be utilized for the repair and renewal of sanitary sewer manholes. Rehabilitation efforts from this contract are expected to reduce inflow within Charlotte Water’s collection system.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Storm Water Services is requesting proposals from qualified companies interested in providing Professional Engineering Services for Various Storm Water Services Projects. Services will be needed for the following two scopes of work:
Unspecified Minor Storm Drainage Improvement Projects
Work may include but is not necessarily limited to initiating new projects or the review and completion of an existing project’s activities already in progress. Minor drainage projects are the ones defined to average in total construction cost between $50,000 to $500,000 each.
Active Major Storm Drainage Improvement Projects
Work includes the review and completion of an existing project’s activities already in progress. Scoping on these projects is anticipated to begin in 2021. The specific projects will be identified in the Request for Qualifications.

This project will install approximately 1.53 miles of 36 count single‐mode fiber optic cable installed in new directionally bored, hand dug and trenched conduit, existing conduit and aerial attachments to poles. This project includes entrances and interconnect equipment for four existing traffic control cabinets and the installation of four traffic management cameras. The project limits are East Boulevard beginning at Queens Road West to Euclid Avenue. This project also includes fiber splicing, testing, Ethernet equipment communications, and traffic management cameras and equipment.
