Trash Removal Along CATS Light-Rail Maintenance of Way
Charlotte Area Transit System, Maintenance of Way division needs a contractor for the removal of trash and debris from tracks 1 and 2 at 26 light-rail stations for approximately 100 feet north and south beyond the ends of each station. This work will be performed at every CATS Blue Line station once per week and anytime there has been an event that leaves trash and debris on Tracks 1 and 2. This will be a 3-year contract with two 1-year optional extensions.

Oakhurst/ Amity Gardens Multi-Use Path (Landscaping) CANCELLED
Landscaping (trees and shrubs) for a 12 ft. concrete multi-use path between the Oakhurst and Amity Gardens neighborhoods. The path itself contains two pedestrian bridges, lighting, trash receptacles, two retaining walls, handrails, benches, and dog waste stations.

Transfer Line Materials
This ITB is to contract with one supplier to provide materials (pipe, fittings, valves, etc.) for a transfer line project for Charlotte Water’s Engineering division. Lead time on this material is estimated to be 6 – 12 months, and the project is estimated to begin Spring 2023. The materials is needed to install a sludge transfer line between Vest and Franklin Water Treatment Plants. All materials must be purchased from one supplier to manage lead times and other important project aspects.

Freedom Drive Intelligent Transportation System (ITS)
This project will install single‐mode fiber optic cable installed in new directionally bored, hand-dug, and trenched conduit, existing conduit, and aerial attachments to poles. This project includes entrances and interconnect equipment for existing traffic signal control cabinets and the installation of traffic management cameras. This project also includes fiber optic cable splicing, testing, Ethernet communications equipment, traffic management camera equipment, and other related activities.
The scope of this project shall be to provide ongoing soil & debris Hauling Services for Charlotte Water. Charlotte Water has multiple divisions throughout Mecklenburg County that may utilize Hauling Service. One of the main divisions is Field Operations which is responsible for infrastructure and pipeline repairs. Field Operations’ service area is divided into four Service Zones.
A company will receive all orders from Charlotte Water and bring mulch, and soil to and/or remove spoils from specified locations (Zone headquarters, job sites, or WWTPs). The successful Company must be able to perform scheduled hauls during Regular Hours, as well as Emergency Hauling Services. Emergency Hauling Services are services rendered outside of regular hours and/or on City observed holidays.
