Gaynelle Storm Drainage Improvement Project

This project is located on Gaynelle Drive between Langley Circle and Running Wood Lane. The existing drainage system consists of open channel and a culvert under a city-maintained road. The culvert system is experiencing blockages and is prone to flooding.

Collective T Storm Drainage Improvement Project

Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Project (SDIP) Series T contains five separate storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork,
drainage structures (standard and non-standard), storm drainpipe systems, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments), foundation protection and any other associated work required by the Engineer. Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.

FY24 Small Diameter Water/Sewer Service Contract #1

This contract is for water and sanitary sewer service installations, including connection to the existing public main, which extends a small diameter line to the property, and includes a water meter box or sanitary sewer clean out. Customers pay connection fees for the installation service, which is based on costs incurred by Charlotte Water in these contracts. The work covered by this contract will provide approximately 900 total services.

On Call Stream Restoration and Sanitary Sewer Repair

This project includes stream stabilization and sewer repair at multiple locations within the sanitary sewer collection system. Stream stabilization structures shall be constructed to protect existing and proposed sanitary sewer infrastructure.

Project components include natural in-stream structures, plantings, site grading, sanitary sewer replacement, sheet pile installation, bypass pumping and sediment control measures. Site locations will be released during the contract duration.

The contract is expected to be for a two-year term with possible renewal.

Beaverdam Creek Pump Station Expansion

This project includes upgrading the Beaverdam Creek Pump Station. Work will involve removing two sets of the existing two-stage pumps and installing four sets of two-stage pumps. Work also includes installing surge tanks and implementing interior modifications to the wet well to improve the hydraulics during self-cleaning operations.

Rivergate Parkway Bridge

This project will install a bridge over Hoover Creek connecting two ends of Rivergate Parkway. The project will provide vehicular and pedestrian access between neighborhoods and local retail. The project amenities include: a new bridge, sidewalk, curb and gutter, milling, asphalt pavement, pavement markings and related activities.

Cross Charlotte Trail (XCLT)− Orr Rd to Rocky River Rd

This project will complete a new segment of XCLT approximately 2.0 miles in length, extending from Orr Road at Tryon Street to Rocky River Road. It is anticipated that the alignment will generally follow the Master Plan alignment.  The trail cross section will be narrower in some sections along Orr Road and will follow Toby Creek on the south side until reaching Rocky River Road where the XCLT connects to existing Toby Creek Greenway.

Collective V (Multiple Isolated Storm Drainage Improvements Projects)

This project consists of multiple isolated storm drainage improvements projects located throughout the City of Charlotte. Projects include storm drainage improvements and replacement and repair of existing storm drainage system facilities within the street right-of-way and private, residential properties.
