NBIS Bridge Inspection – Non-Qualifying

Part of the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) mandates that bridges and culverts are inspected every two years. Bridges are inspected for structural adequacy, safety, and functionality.

The City Council will seek contracts for the design and construction of needed repairs related to bridge inspection contracts. 

Bridge Repair Design

The Consultant shall prepare technical plans and specifications for the required repairs to the City’s bridges per the Inspection Reports. The Consultant shall schedule completion dates for each bridge. Before the beginning of the next inspection cycle, all bridge repairs should be completed by the contractor.

The Consultant shall prepare two (2) bid documents (including one for guardrail work).  Each shall include the technical plans and specifications for the bid packages for each bridge, as well as bid information/requirements for potential contractors.

Fire Apparatus Repair Services

The City is seeking a qualified provider for repairing and coordinating the repair of damage from collisions comprised of over 100 makes and models of fire equipment including engines, ladder trucks, special operations equipment, and support apparatus.

Driver Feedback Sign Services

This contract will install, maintain, and remove/relocate CDOT’s inventory of portable Driver Feedback Signs. These battery-powered radar signs are deployed throughout the city on corridors that are selected by the CDOT Traffic Safety Section for up to six weeks per location. The selected contractor will be responsible for installing the signs in certain locations directed by CDOT, routinely checking the areas they are installed in to ensure they are properly functioning, and once the deployment time has ended for a selected area, removing the signs to be redeployed in another location.

Pavement Markings, Thermoplastic Pavement Markings

The pavement markings and line removal will be performed on roadways that are maintained by the City of Charlotte and by the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT). This is a task order-based contract for on-call services. The services will be established via task orders which include the following: Mobilization, Pavement Markings, Thermoplastic Pavement Markings, Thermoplastic Line Removal, and Traffic Control.

The City of Charlotte is seeking a qualified provider for hydraulic pressure hose parts and services for a variety of vehicles and equipment.  Services are provided onsite at individual Fleet Management locations and offsite roadside locations within Mecklenburg County.

CTC and LYNX Blue Line Parking Decks Property Management and Leasing RFP

The City of Charlotte is seeking to contract with a commercial property management company to provide leasing and property management services for the following property used by its public transportation department, Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS):

Site #2—University City Blvd (UCB) Parking Deck

Site #3—JW Clay Parking Deck

Site #4— I-485/S Blvd Parking Deck

The Services provided by the Service Provider will include but not be limited to:

• Day-to-day building operations;

• Subcontracting for various services and products including janitorial, landscape maintenance, maintenance and repairs of building systems, and other services not provided by the Service Provider;

• Financial management and reporting;

• Tenant/Owner relations;

• Commercial marketing and leasing services.

The City desires to contract with a Service Provider that can provide both leasing services as well as real estate property management services on a location by location basis. Service Provider needs a combination of experience and expertise that will provide timely, cost-effective, and quality professional services. The City will evaluate the Proposals submitted to determine which Service Provider and Proposed Solution will best meet the City’s needs.

DBE & ACDBE Program Compliance Services

The scope shall include two parts:

A. The Company shall develop CLT’s Triennial Disadvantage Business Enterprise (DBE) overall goal based on analysis of available opportunities and qualified DBE firms available for participation. Goal development includes, but is not limited, to obtaining comparative data from other similar projects and interaction with Regional Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Civil Rights Officers, as well as organizing and conducting a stakeholder/public participation meeting.

B.
