The Mallard Creek Road ITS Project includes the installation of approximately 0.65 miles of fiber optic cable in new directionally bored and trenched conduit and aerial attachments to wood utility poles. This project includes the installation of 1 owner furnished traffic management camera. This project also includes fiber splicing and testing. The project limits are from Medical Plaza to Governor Hunt Drive in Charlotte, Mecklenburg County, NC.
FY23 Water Service Replacement
This contract will be a work order based contract to provide construction services to Charlotte Water for the relocation or renewal of water services (3/4-inch and 1-inch), abandonment of small diameter water mains (12-inch and under), and installation of new water mains. The contract will consist of an undetermined number of individual water services relocations and other work areas throughout Mecklenburg County that will be assigned by the Engineer.
Mallard Creek NPW/PW System Rehabilitation (Re-bid)
This project will provide maintenance on the Mallard Creek Water Reclamation Facility’s potable and non-potable water systems. Work on this project will include repairs to valves, valve collars, hydrants and the installation of an 8-inch non-potable water connection line. As part of the project, the existing non-potable water backflow preventer, associated accessories and FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) enclosure.
Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacons Installation – REBID
The City of Charlotte is soliciting bids for the procurement of Rectangular Rapid Flashing Beacon (RRFB) Systems. The RRFB Systems will be placed at High‐Visibility Enhanced Crosswalk locations. This contract will include the purchase and installation of the flashing beacons systems.
FIRE STATION #18 ROOF REPLACEMENT
Remove and dispose of the existing roof system including flashings and sheet metal down to the existing poured gypsum deck. Provide base sheet mechanically attached to roof deck. Provide vapor retarder. Provide roof insulation system. Provide a cold adhesive applied two-ply modified bitumen roof membrane along with flashings and accessories. Replace sheet metal flashings and trim. Provide a complete, weathertight, 20-year warrantable roof assembly with 30-year finish warranty.
Gaynelle Storm Drainage Improvement Project
This project is located on Gaynelle Drive between Langley Circle and Running Wood Lane. The existing drainage system consists of open channel and a culvert under a city-maintained road. The culvert system is experiencing blockages and is prone to flooding. This project consists of replacing 60 LF of existing 72” X 85” CMP with 60 LF of a 11’X5’ RCBC.
Collective T Storm Drainage Improvement Project
Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Project (SDIP) Series T contains five separate storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork,
drainage structures (standard and non-standard), storm drainpipe systems, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments), foundation protection and any other associated work required by the Engineer. Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.
Otts Street Facilities Roof Replacement Project
The existing roof area consist of a concrete deck, hot mopped asphalt base layer, a layer of tapered isocyanurate insulation, a one and three-quarter inch layer of perlite insulation, and a 2-ply modified bitumen roof membrane. The existing roof systems shall be removed to the deck. The deck shall be cleaned and prepared for reinstallation of roofing materials. Install a one and one-half inch base layer of isocyanurate insulation set in foam insulation adhesive. Adhere a new base layer to the existing concrete deck in foam insulation adhesive as required to meet 90psf uplift per FM Global. Install an additional layer of one-eigth inch per foot tapered isocyanurate insulation set in foam insulation adhesive. Install new silicon impregnated fiberglass reinforced cover board in foam insulation adhesive. Fully adhere new PVC membrane and flashings as specified herein and as shown in the project drawings as required by the manufacturer for a twenty-year (20) NDL Manufacturer’s Warranty. The new roof system shall be able to resist the win uplift loading.
CLT Center Storm Drainage Project
This project is located in a parking lot behind the CLT Center located at 5601 Wilkinson Boulevard in Charlotte, NC. The purpose of the project is to install new pipe to contain and drain runoff from the building to an existing storm drainage system at the rear of the parking lot. The work involves installation of reinforced concrete pipe, storm drainage structures, asphalt surface, and re-striping the parking lot within the construction corridor.
