The Project consists of the demolition of the existing 0.1 MGD “packaged” WWTP (flow eq, sludge holding, extended aeration, clarifiers), filters, generator, shed and select yard piping. The new infrastructure includes a new 0.1 MGD “packaged” WWTP (flow eq, sludge holding, extended aeration), two clarifiers, pre-engineered office/lab building, generator and the associated yard piping, site work, electrical and instrumentation. This scope of work also includes the relocation of and existing 8” gravity sewer line.
9th and College Storm Drainage Improvement Project
The 9th and College Storm Drainage Improvement Project is located in Uptown Charlotte within the 9th Street Right-of- Way between North College Street and the CATS Blue Line Extension light rail. The project will upgrade and replace storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water main infrastructure within this block of 9th Street. The project will also include sidewalk, hardscape, pavement, and pavement markings replacement.
Irwin Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Cleaning of Process Tanks
Charlotte Water is seeking a company to perform all labor, materials, chemicals, supplies, equipment, transportation, and other incidentals required for the removal, mechanical dewatering, filtrate management, transportation, and disposal of all materials from the Irwin Creek wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) process tanks including six digester tanks and the digested sludge storage tank.
- Approximately 1,600,000 gallons of sludge
- Approximate/Average concentration of 3.0%
- Approximate dewatered sludge concentration of 17.2%
- Calculated 1,200 approximate wet tons of dewatered sludge/cake disposal
- Solids capture efficiency of 95% or higher
- Maximum wash water rate of 60 GPM (for the entire unit, not per belt wash station)
Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2021-A
Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer. Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments). Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.

Peachtree Hills Sidewalk
This project will install sidewalk within the Peachtree Hills area in three (3) locations. The proposed sidewalk will be located along Peachtree Road from Oakdale Road to Crandon Drive, along the northeast side of Beam Lake Drive from Peachtree Road to an existing sidewalk connection 800ft east, and along the south side of Oak Drive from Oakdale Road to an existing sidewalk connection 0.25 miles east.
