Construction of a new wastewater treatment plant in South Mecklenburg County near Mint Hill. The construction consists of process piping, wastewater equipment installation, and electrical power and controls. The project shall also include provision of a temporary treatment plant during construction of the new plant.
Replacement of diffuser discs in aeration basins 3 and 4. Structural repairs in basins. Baffle installation and mixer rehabilitation.
This project consists of the replacement of low lift station pump check valves. The project will also include filter improvements and non-potable water upgrades, electrical updates, and a sluice gate replacement.
This solicitation will provide for ongoing construction services for the installation of large water and sewer services as requested for commercial/residential use. The work also includes opportunities for installation of short street main extensions (< 100′), fire hydrant relocations and dismantlements as related to new requests.

The Project consists of work in multiple process areas as follows:
- Replacement of the roof and HVAC equipment at the Administration building.
- Modifications to the existing grit removal chamber at the flow equalization facilities to include a 7-foot Parshall flume.
- Spot concrete, sealant, and pavement repairs at the flow equalization facilities.
- Installation of a third mechanical bar screen in the existing Influent Pump Station. The new mechanical screen is pre-purchased by the Owner. The Contractor will administer submittals and handle receipt, installation, startup, testing, and commissioning.
- Installation of a new eductor system on all the Influent pumps to automatically vent the pump casings.
- Modifications to the 18-inch discharge piping of two influent pumps.
- Installation of a new process analyzer (Chemscan) near the Aeration Basins. The analyzer equipment, FRP enclosure, and sample pumps are pre-purchased by the Owner. The Contractor will administer submittals and handle receipt, installation, startup, testing, and commissioning.
- Modifications to the plant’s effluent piping (42 and 30 inches in diameter) including replacement of a flowmeter vault with a new vault. The new meter will be provided by the Owner. This work will require bypass pumping.
- Replacement of the roof and select HVAC equipment at the Old Chlorine Building (Additive Alternate 1).
Charlotte Water is seeking a Company to provide valve assessment, fabrication, and repair services for various valve sizes and types. The Company shall be experienced in assessing and repairing valves in water and wastewater applications. Size of valves to be serviced will range from 2 inches to 120 inches. Valves may be gate, butterfly, plug, cone, globe, or any other type located within the Charlotte Water Distribution System (water lines), Collection System (sewer lines), or any Treatment Facility (water and/or wastewater). Assessment and repair services are to occur on active mains that will remain active and in service during these processes. Charlotte Water will provide access to valves with excavation in accordance with Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards or existing vault/manhole. Valves to be repaired have yet to be determined and may be located anywhere geographically within Mecklenburg County. The Company shall operate and complete Services as directed by the Charlotte Water designated Engineer (CW Engineer).
This project will install single‐mode fiber optic cable installed in new directionally bored, hand-dug, and trenched conduit, existing conduit, and aerial attachments to poles. This project includes entrances and interconnect equipment for existing traffic signal control cabinets and the installation of traffic management cameras. This project also includes fiber optic cable splicing, testing, Ethernet communications equipment, traffic management camera equipment, and other related activities.
