| The Project consists of two scopes of work.
Scope 1: Vest Water Treatment Plant to Franklin Water Treatment Plant Force Main consists of installing over 16,000 linear feet of 16” ductile iron piping force main for residual and backwash transfer between the Vest Water Treatment Plant and the Franklin Water Treatment Plant. Installation of all associated fittings, valves, air release valves, trenching, trenchless crossings, parallel future piping, paving, connections, corrosion control, erosion control, cleaning, testing, and all other associated pipeline work. Installation of two crossings at CSX railroad and NCDOT I-85 Interstate, consisting of parallel 16” ductile iron carrier pipe inside single casing. Reporting on material of service connections along alignment and replacing galvanized steel service lines where discovered. Scope 2: Lee S Dukes High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) Pipeline consists of the installation of 6,000 LF of new 3-inch x 6-inch diameter double wall containment pipe for new chlorine dioxide chemical feed system, including all appurtenances, leak detection system, electrical, testing, and final commissioning. Installation of two (2) new 2-inch diameter HDPE raw water sample lines (approximate length is 6,000 LF for each), including all appurtenances, and testing. Installation of a new raw water sample pump, casing, piping, appurtenances, electrical, and testing at the Raw Water Intake at Blythe Landing. Removal and replacement of various chemical feed lines (11/2-inch and 4-inch diameter) inside existing 8-inch and 12-inch diameter casing pipes. Installation of new fiber optic cable (approximately 6,000 LF) between the Lee S. Dukes WTP and the Raw Water Intake. Installation of new potable water line from Highway 73 to existing Compressor Building, including all appurtenances, and testing. |
Sugar Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Alkalinity Storage Replacement
This project includes the removal of two high-density polyethene chemical storage tanks and mixers, the construction of a new chemical storage tank containment area, the installation of three new chemical storage tanks (two in the existing containment area and one in the new containment area), installation of a chemical mixer at each tank, installation of a new chemical metering pump in the new containment area, construction of an enclosed pump room within the containment areas, installation of new and replacement of piping, and construction of a canopy over the new containment area.
Briar Creek and Paw Creek Sewer Rehabilitation
This project consists of the sanitary sewer rehabilitation of approximately 13,500 linear feet of sewer outfall with cured-in-place lining. This project will extend along the Briar Creek and Paw Creek outfalls. A 112 linear feet 24-inch diversion sewer will also be constructed under Briar Creek along with a 118 linear feet 8-inch linear feet collector sewer.
Goose Creek Sanitary Sewer to Cresthill
Project site is mainly wooded and has minimal housing. There will be one crossing on Lawyers Rd. The project will consist of approximately 5,500 linear feet of 8-inch gravity sewer.
Byrum Drive/West Boulevard Intelligent Transportation System (ITS)
This project will install single‐mode fiber optic cable installed in new directionally bored, hand-dug, and trenched conduit, existing conduit, and aerial attachments to poles. This project includes entrances and interconnect equipment for existing traffic signal control cabinets and the installation of traffic management cameras. This project also includes fiber optic cable splicing, testing, Ethernet communications equipment, traffic management camera equipment, and other related activities.
