McCullough Drive Extension

An extension of McCullough Drive, from it’s current terminus east
of southeast of North Tryon Street, to the disconnected terminus
southwest of W.T. Harris Blvd. It is already designed and real
estate acquired. This is necessary for splitting this project apart
from the McCullough Streetscape Project. Length = 0.272 miles

Sugar Creek WWTP East Equalization Basin Joint Repair

This contract will be for the rehabilitation of the east equalization basin. Construction will require the removal and replacement of deteriorating joint materials. This project will also include high pressure crack injection repairs.

McAlpine Wastewater Management Facility Preliminary and Primary Treatment Facilities Rehabilitation

The project includes mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, and structural rehabilitation of preliminary and primary treatment facilities at the McAlpine Creek WWMF. The facilities generally include Screenings Removal, Primary Clarifiers, Gravity Thickeners, Flow Equalization Storage, Flow Equalization Pumping, and Chemical Storage. These improvements will enhance operational reliability and efficiency.

WT Harris SUP (JW Clay to N Tryon)

A 12’ wide shared-use path will be installed along WT Harris Blvd, from JW Clay Blvd to N Tryon St. This includes pedestrian ramps, storm drain services, and new pavement markings in addition to the shared-use path.  Project Length = 0.33 miles.

Kuykendall Road Improvements

This project will connect sidewalk along Kuykendall Road from
Thorn Blade Drive to McKee Road, and add a right-turn lane from
Kuykendall Road on to McKee Road in order to to increase
pedestrian safety and help alleviate traffic congestion at the
intersection. Project will also fill in small sidewalk gap on the south
side of McKee Rd at Kuykendall Rd and add pedestrian signals with
crosswalk at this intersection. Project length = approximately 0.75
miles.

The McDaniel Ln 6028 project consists of removing and replacing an existing storm drainage network in the Charlotte Hills Mobile Home Park. It currently has a preliminary estimate of 1.2million dollars.

Blackmon Storm Drainage Improvement Project

This project involves analysis of existing conditions to determine portions of the storm drainage system needing improvement, planning analysis of improvement alternatives, and design and construction of needed improvements.

The Blackmon Street Storm Drainage Improvement Project is bordered by Sampson Street to the north, Hoskins Road to the south, Ridgeley Drive to the east, and Sampson Street.

The need for this project was identified through citizen reported drainage requests including road flooding and complaints of finished floor (structure) flooding.

The purpose of the project will be to improve the storm drainage infrastructure to reduce flooding of streets and structures.

Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2025 E

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC.  Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, , and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer. Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments).  Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.
