Pump Station Pit Cleaning and disposal services in Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS). The selected contractor will be responsible for the annual, optional, and emergency cleaning, removal, and disposal of material from pump station pits across various CATS Facilities. The scope of work includes specific equipment, safety, and disposal requirements.

Belk Greenway Connector is a cycle track project. This project will involve shifting the medians on McDowell St to make room for the cycle track, replacing noncompliant curb ramps, replacing noncompliant pedestrian signals, transferring signal heads to new mast arms, mill & overlay, pavement markings, sign installation, and the removal of 4 median trees.
This is an intersection project which will involve installing a new traffic signal with pedestrian signals, widening some of the approaches, replacing all curb ramps, mill & overlay, and pavement markings. The traffic signal will use steel strain poles.
The project scope includes the installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) throughout the terminal and parking decks to enhance safety for passengers and employees. The AED Retrofit and Upgrade project will standardize signage, locations, and AED types deployed over the Airport campus. The goal is to make wall-mounted (Pedestal, Semi-Recessed and Surface Mount) AEDs more visible and accessible to passengers, employees, and first responders during medical emergencies. It includes replacing cabinets as needed, adding new cabinets through ongoing and future terminal projects, and installing cabinets in the existing parking decks.
This project will address the non-conforming, physical ADA barriers to the greatest extent feasible and where applicable under code provisions. Phase 1 addressed barriers in the Charlotte Mecklenburg Government Center Chamber Space, while this Phase 2 addresses all other spaces, including the adjacent parking garage. Scope areas include Exterior Plaza, Entrance Lobby, 2nd Floor Mezzanine and the 14-story Highrise. Specific scope includes, but is not limited to, Partitions, Doors and Door Hardware, Ramps, Millwork, Restrooms, Controlled Access, Obstructions, Plaza Deck and Accessible Routes. The project delivery method will be Construction Manager at Risk. A separate RFQ will be solicited for these services.
The purpose of this project is to increase capacity along Rea Road. Capacity will be increased by utilizing the right turn lane drops and median to develop an additional NB and SB through lane along Rea Road between the I-485 ramps and Williams Pond Lane. This project will also result in increased turn lane capacity and intersection improvements at Piper Station Drive and Ballantyne Commons Parkway. Pedestrian safety and mobility will be improved by providing sidewalks on both sides of Rea Road. Other specific improvements include: curb and gutter, accessible ramps, and driveways.
Install decorative crosswalks (interconnected preformed thermoplastic), milling and resurfacing, and pavement markings.
The purpose of this project is to improve traffic flow on North Tryon Street by extending the left turn lane. This project will include lane widening, drainage and pavement markings.
This project will provide new sidewalk along Sardis Road North from Sardis Road to westernmost intersection of Rittenhouse Circle and Sardis Road North. Project length = 0.5 miles.
