Charlotte’s Department of Transportation is soliciting bids from qualified vendors to procure traffic signals and associated hardware for our city’s traffic management infrastructure. The primary objective is to uphold and enhance the efficiency of overall traffic flow while maintaining and elevating safety standards to meet the growing demands of our community. The project is for the installation of school zone flashers at various locations on roadways that are maintained by the City of Charlotte and by the North Carolina Department of Transportation. This is a Task Order based contract.
The City of Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) is responsible for the removal of snow and ice on City maintained streets. Additional resources are needed to clear streets during extraordinary winter weather events. Contractors provide additional dump truck and plowing equipment with licensed operators to supplement City services.
