Rail Car Maintenance requires the following service performed on two selected LRVs:
Scope of Work:
- The 2 (two) oldest or highest mileage vehicles will be selected by CATS.
- Vendor will provide personnel will remove and replace two LRV center truck bearings (4 four center articulation bearings) with new units. All parts and special tools will be provided by the vendor.
- The vendor will coordinate and ship the removed bearings to an independent lab for analysis. The data obtained from the investigation will be compared to a new unit, and the mileage or bearing lifetime remaining will be estimated. The recommendation will be submitted to CATS
- The vendor will issue a letter to CATS with maintenance action recommendations and intervals based on analysis results.
- This is for purchasing, replacing, and analysis of 4 (four) center articulation bearings.
This is a 5 year requirement to purchase inventory spare Rubber Wedge / Thyssen Spider Rubbers used on the LRV S70 and Street car Wheels. Items are being purchased from the OEM in order to guarantee interchangeability with the existing hardware.

- Prioritize and define implementation strategies for past recommendations for a robust, interconnected public transportation network that will combine high-frequency bus routes, expanded mobility hubs, and innovative on-demand first-mile and last-mile connections
- Coordinate involvement of various communities throughout the service area, especially disadvantaged areas and human services
- Refine recommendations on locations and typologies of mobility hubs and micro-transit zones
- Develop recommendations around funding, technology, capital infrastructure, and partnerships that will assist CATS in achieving its near and long-term mobility vision.

PSR # 1486
CATS is looking for a contractor to perform major track structure maintenance during CATS Annual Maintenance Shutdown typically scheduled during the months of September through November for approximately 48 hours around City of Charlotte major events. This would require all of the workforce labor and equipment necessary to perform the below services.
