South End Station CMAR RFP

South End Station Project will design and construct a new light rail station with offset side platforms adjacent to the Publix Supermarket and 2161 Hawkins development in South End. The project team completed a project delivery assessment and selected Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) as the appropriate method to deliver this project.

Route Restoration Plan

First/Last mile mobility solutions for low-income residents in disadvantaged neighborhoods and communities

Implementation of this project seeks to:

  • Prioritize and define implementation strategies for past recommendations for a robust, interconnected public transportation network that will combine high-frequency bus routes, expanded mobility hubs, and innovative on-demand first-mile and last-mile connections
  • Coordinate involvement of various communities throughout the service area, especially disadvantaged areas and human services
  • Refine recommendations on locations and typologies of mobility hubs and micro-transit zones
  • Develop recommendations around funding, technology, capital infrastructure, and partnerships that will assist CATS in achieving its near and long-term mobility vision.

Customer Experience/Internal Culture/Leadership Training Work

This project is part of the assessment the city manager had completed previously. The assessment findings gave objectives to CATS as a part of the next steps. The scope of work below outlines the steps we will take to meet some of these objectives.

CATS MOW Annual Shutdown Maintenance FY24-FY29

CATS is looking for a contractor to perform major track structure maintenance during CATS Annual Maintenance Shutdown typically scheduled during the months of September through November for approximately 48 hours around City of Charlotte major events. This would require all of the workforce labor and equipment necessary to perform the below services.
