Charlotte Storm Water Services / Construction
The purpose and need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality. The project area is bordered by Ashton Drive to the north, Sharon Road to the south and east, and Park Road to the west. The existing drainage system consists of open channel and closed concrete and metal pipe systems.

Project consists of removing a gabion wall and replacing it with a new segmental block wall. Minimal stream impacts will be made only to install wall. Partial storm system in ROW will be removed and replaced with no outfall impacts.

Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Projects Series AD will involve 3 projects throughout the City of Charlotte, 4213 Tipperary Pl, 2607 Vail Ave, 4600 Randolph Rd. 4213 Tipperary Pl will consist of a reinforced box culvert replacement as well as reinforced concrete pipe replacement and realignment, CIPP liner, storm drainage structure replacement, full depth asphalt, curb and gutter, concrete driveway, new sanitary sewer pipe and sanitary sewer structures, as well as sidewalk replacement all along Tipperary Place. 2607 Vail Ave will reroute water along Vaile Ave that will consist of new storm drainage pipe and structures as well as sanitary sewer line replacement, concrete driveway and curb replacement, as well as full depth asphalt replacement. 4600 Randolph Rd will consist of CIPP lining across Randolph Rd, a new reinforced concrete pipe alignment with structures, concrete curb, concrete driveway, full depth asphalt, and ditch work along commercial properties and an apartment complex.

The Craighead/Tryon Storm Drainage Improvement Project is bordered by Glory Street to the north, Little Sugar Creek to the south, Sugar Creek Road to the east and Craighead Road to the west. The existing drainage system consists of pipe system under city-maintained road, state-maintained road, and private property. The improvements include pipe system upgrades.

Improvements on Monroe Road between North Wendover Road and Eaton Road to create a more pedestrian-oriented corridor and install a pedestrian hybrid beacon in front of Time Out Youth Center. Improvements will primarily include shared-use paths, drainage, and midblock pedestrian crossings.

Aviation / Construction
The Portland Cement Concrete (PCC) Slab Replacement Program will include the rehabilitation and replacement of various airfield PCC pavement slabs that will be identified by the Owner. The intent of this solicitation is to select a company to provide rehabilitation and replacements utilizing selected construction materials for specific projects at various locations on Airport property on an as needed, Task Order basis during the duration of the scheduled contract. The Scope of Services requires the contractor to furnish all supervision, labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and services, and perform and complete all work in an efficient and workmanlike manner necessary to complete construction of the PCC Slab Replacement Program.

Charlotte Water / Construction
This contract is for the continuous installation of large water and sewer services, as needed, for commercial or residential purposes with a diameter one and a half inches or larger. Customers apply for quotes for service connection and pay the applicable fees to get into the construction queue. This contract will help meet the demand for these kinds of service connections for the next two years.

Department of General Services / Construction
This project includes safety improvements at 8 sites, focusing on low-cost, high-impact measures such as pedestrian crossings, accessible pedestrian signals (APS), leading pedestrian intervals (LPIs), and priority projects from a Safe Routes to School study.
This purpose of the Bryant Farms Road Extension, Phase II project is to continue the street connection of Bryant Farms Road between Rea Road and Ardrey Kell Road. The design is anticipated to include a two-lane road with turn lanes, shared-use path on both sides of the road, and improvements at the intersections of Bryant Farms Road with Rea Road, Tom Short Road, and Ardrey Kell Road. The project will also build a crossing over Flat Branch stream and will run adjacent to the Flat Branch Nature Preserve for a portion of the project.
