The project proposes to widen Prosperity Church Rd approximately 0.3 mi between Old Ridge Rd and Benfield Rd to provide curb and gutter, sidewalk, storm drainage, bicycle lanes, and on-street parking, as well as a roundabout at Prosperity Church Rd and Prosperity Ridge Rd.

The City is seeking qualified Companies to perform Janitorial Services at numerous City facilities. The Services include, but are not limited to; providing supervision, tools, materials, equipment, cleaning supplies, and expertise to perform janitorial services within building offices, classrooms, lobbies, corridors, passageways, rest rooms, exercise facilities and locker rooms, and industrial and specialized facilities including but not limited to warehouses and trailers.

CATS is requesting a 5-year contract for  Maintenance of Way Blue Line Extension (BLE) traction control and traction power parts and service repairs. The construction company awarded the BLE used various rail manufacturer parts during the installation.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) requires the Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) to inspect all light-rail bridges, elevated stations, walls, and culverts and stay current every two years.  There is also a 5-year inspection cycle for all parking decks. CATS is seeking a contractor to perform these services under a 6-year contract.

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC.  Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, and channels. Work will also include working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer.  Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments).  Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within the street right-of-way or within storm drainage easements.

The DeArmon Road Improvements Project is part of the City of Charlotte’s Prosperity Village Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program.  The project will complete the infrastructure needs in the neighborhood by providing buffered bicycle lanes, median/turning lane, storm drainage, curb & gutter, sidewalk and a greenway passage beneath DeArmon Road for the future extension of Clark’s Creek Greenway.

This project is associated with the Airport’s 4^th Parallel Runway Project. West Boulevard will need to be relocated to Piney Top Drive and Byrum Drive in order to create space for the 4^th Parallel Runway and South End-Around Taxiway. Intersection improvements and roadway widening will occur at various locations along the corridor

Scope of Work Construction of new 4th Parallel Runway

This program includes the planning, design, and construction of a 10,000-foot parallel runway and associated taxiway system to include the North End Around Taxiway Phase II and South End Around Taxiway. The 2016 Airport Capacity Enhancement Plan and 2018 FAA-approved forecast show the need for an additional runway at CLT. This runway will replace the existing crosswind runway and enhance capacity as the parallel configuration will provide greater operational benefit for more efficient air traffic flow into and out of CLT.

The City of Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) is responsible for the removal of snow and ice on City maintained streets.  Additional resources are needed to clear streets during extraordinary winter weather events. Contractors  provide additional dump truck and plowing equipment with licensed operators to supplement City services.
