The City is seeking a Service Provider to manage transportation for patrons attending events at the Spectrum Center in uptown Charlotte, and to manage traffic flow to and around the venue for selected events.

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC.  Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, and channels. Work will also include working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer.  Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments).  Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within the street right-of-way or within storm drainage easements.

The City of Charlotte is seeking a qualified provider of Vehicle Communications and Electronic Equipment Installation Services to work in conjunction with Fleet Management.  The Company shall perform vehicle upfitting and communications component installation services on fleet equipment owned, operated, or maintained by the City.  The Company shall provide these services primarily at the City vehicle commissioning and decommissioning shop, but may also provide services at their company shop or at other approved City facilities.

The DeArmon Road Improvements Project is part of the City of Charlotte’s Prosperity Village Comprehensive Neighborhood Improvement Program.  The project will complete the infrastructure needs in the neighborhood by providing buffered bicycle lanes, median/turning lane, storm drainage, curb & gutter, sidewalk and a greenway passage beneath DeArmon Road for the future extension of Clark’s Creek Greenway.

This project will replace the bridge on Morris Field Drive, between Wilkinson Blvd. and Golf Acres Drive, over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.

This project will install sidewalk and multi-use paths in three locations within the University Research Park area.

This project will provide new sidewalk along Sardis Road North from Sardis Road to westernmost intersection of Rittenhouse Circle and Sardis Road North.

This project will fill in gaps in the existing sidewalk system on the south side along Tuckaseegee Rd from Little Rock Rd to West Mecklenburg High School, and along the north side of Tuckaseegee Rd from Burkholder Road to Toddville Road.

This project is associated with the Airport’s 4^th Parallel Runway Project. West Boulevard will need to be relocated to Piney Top Drive and Byrum Drive in order to create space for the 4^th Parallel Runway and South End-Around Taxiway. Intersection improvements and roadway widening will occur at various locations along the corridor

Scope of Work Construction of new 4th Parallel Runway

This program includes the planning, design, and construction of a 10,000-foot parallel runway and associated taxiway system to include the North End Around Taxiway Phase II and South End Around Taxiway. The 2016 Airport Capacity Enhancement Plan and 2018 FAA-approved forecast show the need for an additional runway at CLT. This runway will replace the existing crosswind runway and enhance capacity as the parallel configuration will provide greater operational benefit for more efficient air traffic flow into and out of CLT.

The purpose and need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality.  This project is under review.  Location and project details will be provided after review is complete.
