The City requires a company to work in conjunction with Fleet Management, the Airport and other city departments to provide Vehicle and Equipment Welding and Related Services to the City of Charlotte. The Company shall perform vehicle or equipment maintenance, repair, and modification through the provision of Vehicle and Equipment Welding and Related services for vehicles and equipment owned, operated, or maintained by the City.

Charlotte Storm Water Services / Construction
524 Wilby Drive: The culvert will be constructed with a headwall and endwall, with the junction box In between. The 24” plastic pipe will be replaced with 24” RCP.
6633 Brookfield Place: 30” RCP from JB 9 to DCB 8 to be replaced with a 36” RCP , and curb to be added along Alexander Road and standard catch basins to be constructed along the curb.

Charlotte Department of Transportation / General Services
The Contractor shall furnish all labor, material, and equipment necessary to perform all services for the application of asphalt-rejuvenating agent to asphaltic concrete surfaces at various locations throughout the City of Charlotte. The rejuvenation of surface roads shall be by spray application of a cationic rejuvenating agent composed of petroleum oils and resins emulsified with water. All work shall be in accordance with the specifications, and the applicable drawings, and subject to the terms and specifications conditions of the contract.

Charlotte Storm Water Services / Construction
This construction will improve site conditions at the Zone 3 Field Operation facility. Construction work will include stormwater settling basins, stormwater conveyance, and various site improvements. The design is already complete.

Charlotte Area Transit System / Commodities & Goods
This vehicle upfit will serve as a mobile town hall for community events and will be available for use by all city departments. CATS will have first priority given the role CATS has served in bringing this mobile town hall to life.

City Wide / General Services
The City is seeking qualified Companies to perform Janitorial Services at numerous city facilities. The Services include, but are not limited to; providing supervision, tools, materials, equipment, cleaning supplies, and expertise to perform janitorial services within building offices, classrooms, lobbies, corridors, passageways, rest rooms, exercise facilities and locker rooms, and industrial and specialized facilities including but not limited to warehouses and trailers.

Department of General Services / Construction
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Government Center (CMGC) and the adjacent parking garage have been identified in the City-wide ADA Transition Plan for Program Implementation (Program).
The CMGC facility is an existing 14-story, nominally 440,000 square foot building, located at 600 East 4th Street (parcel ID 12502601) and houses several City & County Departments. The adjacent CMGC Parking Garage (parcel 12502501) is a 5-story concrete deck.
Phase II of this ADA Implementation includes all public and non-public facing spaces of the facilities (with the exception of the Council Chambers) and will resolve the physical, non-conforming ADA barriers identified in the ADA Transition Plan, or as required to meet the City of Charlotte ADA Design Guidelines and the 2010 ADA Standards for Accessible Design.
The CMGC is required to stay open to the public and staff during all phases of the project. Active coordination with tenants, facilities staff, and stakeholders will be critical for the successful completion of this project.

Department of General Services / General Services
The City is seeking a qualified provider to facilitate the performance of city vehicle graphics manufacturing, application, removal, and inventory management services, including but not limited to the following:
• Application, removal, or repair of myriad vehicle graphics for various city vehicles, including but not limited to Charlotte Fire Department staff and service vehicles, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD) vehicles, Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) vehicles, and Solid Waste heavy trucks.
• Transportation or light and medium vehicles from designated storage areas to the building work area, without assistance from City personnel, to complete service requirements;
• Providing immediate (same day or next day) turnaround service upon request for emergency or exception situations;
• Offering online ordering;
• Designating personnel to share service, inventory data, availability, and service/delivery information;
• Organizing meetings to facilitate service improvements, contract compliance, and addressing other relevant service issues.
Some Additional requirements:
• The Company must maintain active production operations and be physically located within a 50-mile radius of 1105 Otts Street, Charlotte, NC 28205.
• The City has established 3M film specifications. No other film specifications will be considered for this RFP.
• All installation and removal work shall take place at the City’s Vehicle Commission/Decommission Facility located at:

Charlotte Department of Transportation / General Services
The City of Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) is responsible for the removal of snow and ice on City maintained streets. Additional resources are needed to clear streets during extraordinary winter weather events. Contractors provide additional dump truck and plowing equipment with licensed operators to supplement City services.

Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department / Technology Goods & Services
The City of Charlotte (the City) is soliciting a Request for Proposals (RFP) to find a company and solution that can provide effective Cultural Competency Training for The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department (CMPD). The City will award one vendor with a multi-year contract.
CMPD would like to equip its sworn and civilian employees to address the needs of multicultural community members and visitors through the creation of a cultural competency training curriculum specific to the City of Charlotte. The objective of the training curriculum is to help understand, respect, and appropriately respond to cultural norms when responding to the needs of these communities. The proposed training curriculum is to be customized for the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department.

The purpose of the CMPD Animal Care and Control, Phase 3 Expansion project is primarily to provide additional kennels for dogs and reduce the increasing rate of euthanasia. Secondly, to provide additional space for other animals and improve the efficiencies of operations for the facility. The expansion of the facility will possibly be located at 2700 Toomey Avenue and the parcel is currently 4.67 acres. This is the old location for the Animal Humane Society. We are currently in the advanced planning phase to acquire a schematic design to confirm the estimated construction cost.
The Construction delivery system will be Progressive Design Build. It is also anticipated that the city will acquire an Owner’s Advisor to assist with procurement and additional services during design and construction.
The City requires qualified service providers to work in conjunction with the City’s Fleet Management staff to perform complete turnkey collision repairs and related services on city fleet and Mecklenburg County vehicles. Collision repairs may include but are not limited to paint and body work, frame, cooling systems, engine components, transmission, steering, and related part repairs or replacement.
