Sugar Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Alkalinity Storage Replacement

This project includes the removal of two high-density polyethene chemical storage tanks and mixers, the construction of a new chemical storage tank containment area, the installation of three new chemical storage tanks (two in the existing containment area and one in the new containment area), installation of a chemical mixer at each tank, installation of a new chemical metering pump in the new containment area, construction of an enclosed pump room within the containment areas, installation of new and replacement of piping, and construction of a canopy over the new containment area.

 

Soil & Debris Hauling Service

The scope of this project shall be to provide ongoing soil & debris Hauling Services for Charlotte Water. Charlotte Water has multiple divisions throughout Mecklenburg County that may utilize Hauling Service.  One of the main divisions is Field Operations which is responsible for infrastructure and pipeline repairs.  Field Operations’ service area is divided into four Service Zones.

A company will receive all orders from Charlotte Water and bring mulch, and soil to and/or remove spoils from specified locations (Zone headquarters, job sites, or WWTPs).  The successful Company must be able to perform scheduled hauls during Regular Hours, as well as Emergency Hauling Services.  Emergency Hauling Services are services rendered outside of regular hours and/or on City observed holidays.

Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2023-C

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC.  Work will involve: mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures,  storm drain pipe systems, and channels.   Additional work will include: working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving concrete flatwork, landscaping, and any associated work required by the Engineer.  Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments).  Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within the street right-of-way.

Brown Grier Road Upgrades

This project will widen the two-lane road to a four-lane median-divided road with multi-use paths between Steele Creek Road and Whitehall Park Drive, and a multi-use path north along Sandy Porter Road to the subdivision at Williams Glenn Road.

Morris Field Bridge Replacement

This project will replace the bridge on Morris Field Drive between Wilkinson Boulevard and Golf Acres Drive, over the Norfolk Southern Railroad.

University Research Park Sidewalk

This project will install sidewalk and multi-use paths in three locations within the University Research Park area. Locations will include a 6′ concrete sidewalk along Medical Plaza Drive between Harris Boulevard and Mallard Creek Road, a 12′ concrete multi-use path from the intersection of David Taylor Drive and Claude Freeman Drive to the intersection of Governor Hunt Road and David Taylor Drive and a 12′ concrete multi-use path along Claude Freeman Drive from the intersection of David Taylor Drive and Claude Freeman Drive to the first business entrance at the Left side of Claude Freeman Drive. (10330 David Taylor Dr). This project will also install curb ramps, retaining wall, curb and gutter, extension of 3 culverts, concrete headwall, pedestrian lighting and related works.

I-85 North Bridge

This project will construct a bridge over I-85 to directly connect Doug Mayes Place and Louis Rose Place. This will relieve congestion a the WT Harris Blvd/ I-85 and Mallard Creek Church Rd/ I-85 interchanges.
