ITS Design Services On-Call

This contract will be with professional engineering consulting firms to provide professional engineering services for Intelligent Transportation System (ITS) projects. These projects are part of the Charlotte Department of Transportation’s (CDOT) ITS Master Plan which are critical in their efforts to upgrade and expand the traffic signal system network in the city.

The services could include fiber optic cable routing plans, utility make-ready plans, fiber optic cable splice details, traffic surveillance cameras, engineered project specifications, construction cost estimates, developing traffic signal plans per CDOT and NCDOT standards, coordination of the utility make-ready work, assistance with the project administration and inspection during construction.

The services may also include grant consulting services that may range from developing proposals, overseeing implementation and performing construction administration and inspection per state and federal guidelines and standards. These contracts may have local, state, or federal funding.

Briar Creek Phase 4 Sewer Rehab-CANCELLED

This will be an invitation to bid for construction and will consist of cured-in-place pipe lining, manhole rehab, and other miscellaneous services for several thousand linear feet of current infrastructure. This was originally paired with the Paw Creek/Diversion project and will now be two separate construction projects.

Paw Creek Sewer Rehabilitation and Diversion Structure-CANCELLED

This will be an invitation to bid for construction that will consist of cured-in-place pipe lining, manhole rehab, and a sewer diversion structure. The diversion consists of 200-300 linear feet of sewer pipe and several new manholes. A procurement officer has already been assigned to this.

Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility Solids Forcemain – CANCELLED

Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility is a new 15 million gallons per day greenfield facility that will serve as CLTWater’s 6th Water Resource Recovery Facility. Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility will not have solids treatment onsite. The Stowe Regional Water Resource Recovery Facility solids pump station will send the solids stream to another CLTWater water resource recovery facility for treatment. This is a hard bid construction project to build the first phase of the offsite forcemain.

Beaverdam Creek Trunk Sewer – Phase 2 – CANCELLED

This project consists of the design and construction of a gravity outfall along Beaverdam Creek West Branch. This outfall is a tributary to the existing Beaverdam Creek Lift Station and Force Main. Phase 2 is approximately 2,100 linear feet of pipe and will continue from the anticipated Phase 1 West Blvd extension north to a terminus near I-485. This project will accommodate economic growth in the River One area by expanding the wastewater collection system.

FY25 Street Mains Extensions Contract 1 – CANCELLED

This contract will be for the construction of an undetermined number of street mains extensions and miscellaneous infrastructure projects. This contract will also provide construction assistance on an as needed basis for other capital projects. This contract will cover Charlotte Water’s entire service area.

960 East/West Water Main-CANCELLED

Project of approximately 16,000 Linear Feet of 36 inch water main along Albemarle Rd.  This project improves the water transmission capacity in the 960 pipe zone.  Project is in final design, permitting and easement acquisition.
