FY26 Water and Sewer Infrastructure Construction – Contract 1

The project consists of an undetermined number of individual projects consisting of water and/or sewer extensions, water and/or sewer replacements, low-pressure sanitary sewer, water distribution system reliability improvement projects, and/or sanitary sewer capacity assurance projects, which will be assigned by the Project Engineer.

Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2026-B-PR

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, , and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer. Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments). Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties.

Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2026-D (Various Locations)

Work performed under this contract will consist of nine (9) storm drainage improvement projects (point repair) throughout Charlotte, NC as illustrated in the plans of the contract documents. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, landscaping and any associated work required by the respective project plan.

FY26 Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation

The Project consists of constructing rehabilitation of manholes, repair of sewer system defects and service laterals, installing new sewers and manholes to replace existing sewers and manholes, installation of cured-in-place pipe lining, pipe bursting, other miscellaneous manhole rehabilitation work, and all preparatory work such as sewer cleaning and television inspection.

Firehouse 44

Firehouse 44 will be an integral asset to support Charlotte Fire Department’s efficient response to emergencies in the community; providing a location within the newly developed River District community and expanding their response area in this newly incorporated region of Charlotte. This 14,600 SF, two-story, 3-bay facility will be the first mass timber firehouse in the Southeast US and will meet Living Future’s (LF) Zero Carbon certification for total project embodied carbon. The project will comply with Charlotte’s Sustainable Facilities Policy and fully support the sophisticated and time-sensitive operations of the Fire Department.

Hunter Acres Water Quality Enhancement Project

The City of Charlotte Storm Water Services has proposed a repair project for an existing pond called Hunter Acres Pond. The pond is located on Crestland Avenue, near the intersection of Crestland Avenue and Cornelia Drive, and the Parcel ID is 04302401. The pond is identified in the NC Dam Safety Inventory as MECKL-207-H and is classified as a high hazard dam. The forebay is located approximately 200 feet west of the main dam embankment.

FY26 Water and Sewer Infrastructure

These contract(s) will be for the on-call consulting services of internal projects under the guidance of Design and Construction for miscellaneous needs, such as water and sewer extension projects and other capital projects. These contracts will cover Charlotte Water’s entire service area.
