Storm Water Maintenance, Repair, and Improvement GLFY2025-B

Work performed under this grouting and lining (GL) contract will consist of stormwater infrastructure maintenance, repair, and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work may be located entirely within or a combination of public right-of-way and private, residential, and commercial properties. Work includes but is not limited to the following: Grouting and lining of existing storm drainage pipe, structures or soil stabilization cleaning; maintenance/repair and installation of storm drainage pipe systems, storm drain manholes, inlets, and end treatments; channel grading, blockage/sediment removal and outfall/bank stabilization; water, and sewer relocations, installations, and adjustments, structural foundation protection and construction of sidewalks, curb and gutter, and asphalt and concrete paving associated with the specific Project Work Order (PWO).

All work will be issued in writing to the contractor via a Project Work Order. PWO’s issued through this contract may vary in size, effort, location, and monetary value. Projects could vary from $2,000 to $60,000 with project durations from 2 to 60 calendar days. These ranges are provided as a guide and are not intended to be construed as the minimum and maximum cost or duration. The Contractor will be required to furnish and maintain a minimum of 1 full-time crew to work continuously on this contract for the entire contract duration. Each crew that works must be capable of prosecuting the work listed in the Project Work Orders in accordance with section 108-1. The Contractor shall keep the city informed of their proposed work plan(s) and submit written reports of work accomplished on a frequency to be determined by the city.

The Contractor may be required to submit a written construction schedule to the city for their review and approval. Submitted Project Construction Schedules (PCS) shall be in accordance with City Standard Provision Periodic Payments.  Written reports and supporting construction documentation (survey notes, certifications, tickets, tags, etc.) shall accompany all pay requests. All work shall be subject to inspection by the City and/or their representative at any time.

Storm Water Maintenance, Repair, and Improvement – TR2025

Work performed under this transportation repair (TR) contract will consist of storm water infrastructure maintenance, repair and maintenance projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, and landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer. Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm water pipe lining, storm water pipe joint and structure repair, water and sewer (relocations, installations and adjustments). Storm Water maintenance work may be located entirely within or a combination of the street right-of-way, private, residential and commercial properties. See section 1.28 – Scope of Work for additional details and information.

FY2025A – Storm Drainage Repair and Improvement – Various Locations

Work performed under this contract will consist of nine (9) stormwater improvement projects throughout Charlotte, NC as illustrated in the plans of the contract documents. Work will involve mobilization, earthwork, drainage structures, storm drain pipe systems, channels, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, landscaping and any associated work required by the respective project plan.

Sweden Road Water Quality Enhancement Project

This project consists of the installation of Storm Water structures including pipe, curb, manholes, headwalls, and hydrodynamic separators to improve water quality at the adjacent surface water.

Storm Water Repair and Improvement FY2024-G

Work performed under this contract will consist of storm water infrastructure maintenance, repair and improvement projects within the city limits of Charlotte, NC.  Work may include but is not limited to mobilization, earthwork, installation of storm drainage structures and pipes/culverts, working over, under, near, and around existing private utilities, asphalt paving, concrete flatwork, landscaping and any associated work required by the Engineer.  Other work may include structural foundation protection, storm drainage structure and pipe repair and/or rehabilitation pipe lining, water and sanitary sewer (relocations, installations, and adjustments).  Locations of work will vary and can be within public right of way, private property with easements or a combination of both.

Specialized Roadway Construction Services FY23A

This unspecified contract will provide horizontal construction services on an as-needed basis to the General Services Department. The work includes: traffic control; erosion control; clearing and grading; drainage; milling; asphalt paving; pavement markings; retaining wall; concrete curb, sidewalk, and driveways; pedestrian refuge island, and wheelchair ramps; utility relocation and installations; and related activities.

Specialized Roadway Construction Services FY23B

This unspecified contract will provide horizontal construction services on an as-needed basis to the General Services Department. The work includes: traffic control; erosion control; clearing and grading; drainage; milling; asphalt paving; pavement markings; retaining wall; concrete curb, sidewalk, and driveways; pedestrian refuge island, and wheelchair ramps; utility relocation and installations; and related activities.

Upper Little Sugar Creek Replacement Sewer – Phase 2 and Phase 3 from Bilmark Avenue to Canterwood Drive and 911 Georgetown Storm Drainage Improvement Project (SDIP)

The Project consists of the installation of 250 LF of 8” sewer; 3,060 LF of 16” sewer; 3,100 LF of 18” sewer; 37 manholes; bypass pumping of wastewater; and other related sewer installation/replacement work for the Upper Little Sugar Creek Replacement Sewer Phases 2 and 3 portions. For the 911 Georgetown SDIP, the project consists of the Installation of 394 LF of 5’ X 4’ Precast R.C. Box Culvert; 60 LF of 10’ X 8’ Precast R.C. Box Culvert; 9 masonry drainage structures; and other related storm drainage installation work.

9th and College Storm Drainage Improvement Project

The 9th and  College Storm Drainage Improvement Project is located in Uptown Charlotte within the 9th Street Right-of- Way between North College Street and the CATS Blue Line Extension light rail. The project will upgrade and replace storm drainage, sanitary sewer, and water main infrastructure within this block of 9th Street. The project will also include sidewalk, hardscape, pavement, and pavement markings replacement.
