FY21 WATER SEWER INFRASTRUCTURE – CONTRACT 2

This contract consists of an undetermined number of individual projects consisting of water and/or sewer extensions, water and/or sewer replacements, low pressure sanitary sewer, water distribution system reliability improvement projects, and/or sanitary sewer capacity assurance projects, which will be assigned by the Project Engineer.

Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspection Services 

The Charlotte-Douglas International Airport (CLT) is seeking to engage the services of a qualified Aviation consultant, to provide Resident Project Representative/Construction Inspection (RPR) Services for various projects. These projects may include, but are not limited to pavement projects (new, extended and/or rehabilitated pavements for runway, taxiway, and apron areas), auto parking lot improvements, roadway improvements, airfield
lighting and NAVAIDs improvements, airfield fuel system improvements, airfield signage improvements, demolition of airfield improvements, aircraft hangars, utility infrastructure development and upgrades, and other similar airport related projects. The work also will include vertical construction work such as new Terminals and Concourses, rehabilitations to Terminals and Concourses, various aviation support facilities (fire stations, cargo and catering buildings, etc) with scopes of work that include foundations, steel framing, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and security systems, baggage handling systems, IT infrastructure, and building finishes.

FY21 Water Main Replacement Contract 3

This contract consists of an undetermined number of individual projects consisting of water and/or sewer replacements, water and/or sewer extensions, and water distribution system reliability improvement projects, which will be assigned by the Project Engineer.

Airport Customs & Border Protection Facility Renovations

This is a Construction Management at Risk (CM@R) project.

The Customs & Border Protection (CBP)  Facility Renovation project  demolishes and reconstructs all interior areas of the existing  CBP Facility.  The project also expands the terminal connector between Concourse D, & Concourse E, adding approximately 15,000 square feet of leasable space.

Fawnbrook Ln (514) Storm Drainage Improvement Project

The need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality.  This project is under review.  Location and project details will be provided after the review is complete.

Mallard Water Reclamation Upgrades, Phase 1 Improvements

The Phase 1 Water Reclamation Upgrade will increase the capacity of the facility to 14.9 million gallons per day (MGD) and includes a new deeper influent pump station to accept flow from a new, deeper trunk sewer, flow equalization, influent screens, aeration control and chemical feed.  The estimated construction cost for this upgrade is $65.2 million. The Phase 1 construction project will also include solids improvements that are estimated at $24 million.  Both aspects of the project will be delivered together as a single construction project.

Glassy Creek/Brentwood/Parkwood Stream Restoration

This stream restoration construction project provides for the upgrading of lakes and ponds, dam repairs, and other improvements to reduce the level of pollution in stormwater.   The need for the project is based on the maintenance of facilities such as lakes and ponds that enhance stormwater quality under the requirements of the Clean Water Act.

South Tryon St Intelligent Transportation System

This project will install approximately 2.1 miles of 24 count single‐mode fiber optic cable installed in new directionally bored, hand dug and trenched conduit, existing conduit and aerial attachments to poles. This project includes entrances and interconnect equipment for eight existing traffic control cabinets and the installation of six traffic management cameras. The project limits are S Tryon Street beginning at West Boulevard to Clanton Road and then along Clanton Road to Barringer Drive. This project also includes fiber splicing, testing, Ethernet equipment communications, traffic management cameras and equipment and other related activities.
