CATS BOD (Bus Operations Department) is seeking an authorized vendor that can provide vehicle repair services for Cummins engines. The vendor must guarantee workmanship and honor warranty of the components replaced. The repair services of the Cummins engines shall include but not be limited to; diagnostics, routine repairs, and replacement of all mechanical engine components and accessories, all sensors on the engine or vehicle that could cause an engine fault code, and any wiring and harnesses that could cause an engine fault code. The contract will include the selling CATS the licenses of Cummins Insite (Pro and Basic) annually. In addition the contract will include selling CATS a subscription to Cummins QuickServe Online. This will allow the addition of new employees to the CATS subscription and have their own service training IDs.

This acquisition is for the purchase of Optics 1 Enhanced Clip-On Thermal Imager (E-COTI) Kits in support of CMPD. E-COTI Kits improve situational awareness and increases threat detection in extreme low-light, or no light conditions.
Charlotte Water will be seeking bids for the purchase two Gardner Denver centrifugal blowers for its McAlpine Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant. These blowers are to be utilized for backwashing effluent filters. Awarded bidder will be responsible for the shipment of the items to the facility. The equipment will be installed as part of a future construction contract. The needed control panels will be supplied by a third party.
Bid price will include a one-year warranty from the time of installation or 18 months from the time of delivery. Bid price will also include up to three one-day site visits to assist Charlotte Water’s third party contractor with installation and start-up as required.

The vendor(s) shall assume all responsibility of maintaining an adequate stock of each size and type of tire required by the two CATS BOD Maintenance facilities located in Charlotte, NC: 3145 South Tryon Street and 901 North Davidson Street.

The Charlotte Area Transit Systems (CATS) is seeking a qualified vendor(s) to repair major bus damage to any of the CATS bus fleet. CATS has a fleet of over 300 buses including manufacturers Motor Coach Industries (MCI), Gillig, and New Flyer. CATS repairs minor damage in-house.
The Vendor(s) would be responsible for supplying all parts, labor, and towing from the CATS location, travel to the vendor’s site, the performance of the body repairs, and return to the CATS location in full operating condition. Work shall be performed by a certified bus rebuild contractor of established reputation with a minimum of five (5) years experience performing major repair on Transit Buses.
All repair work shall be completed in order to meet all Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS).

Charlotte Water will be seeking contracts with companies for the as-needed purchase of fire hydrants and American Flow Control, Clow, Kennedy, Mueller and E J (East Jordan Iron Works) fire hydrant parts. One manufacturer will be selected (based on low bid) for the purchase of fire hydrants, and contracts for parts will be established for each manufacturer.

The Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) requires the use of traffic signal copper wire for electrical and communication cabling during the installation of loops and signals. The material is necessary for routine installation and maintenance related projects.
