This solicitation will be for the construction of an undetermined number of street main extensions and miscellaneous infrastructure projects. This contract will also provide construction assistance on an as-needed basis for other capital projects. This contract will cover Charlotte Water’s entire service area.

Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) Replacement Phase 3 Construction – cancelled

This project will upgrade the existing meter reading system to a self-reporting network and replace end of life residential meters. Existing communication endpoints not compatible with the network selected will be replaced. Most residential meters will be replaced; those meters not replaced will require a replacement register compatible with the new endpoints. Commercial meters will receive replacement registers or be replace, depending on compatibility with the selected network solution. The communication network, hourly interval data and customer access portal will improve customer experience, increase billing efficiency and accuracy, reduce system losses and operational expenses, and improve system monitoring and planning.

Miscellaneous Geotechnical and Environmental Services Request for Quotation -CANCELLED

Charlotte Water will be requesting submittals from qualified firms interested in providing miscellaneous geotechnical and environmental services on an as-needed basis. Charlotte Water’s Engineering division frequently manages projects that benefit from the use of on-call geotechnical and/or environmental testing and/or evaluation services during the design or construction stages. Firms will have to indicate whether they would like to be considered for miscellaneous Geotechnical Services, Environmental Services or both.

960 East/West Water Main-CANCELLED

Project of approximately 16,000 Linear Feet of 36 inch water main along Albemarle Rd.  This project improves the water transmission capacity in the 960 pipe zone.  Project is in final design, permitting and easement acquisition.

978 Zone Water Transmission Main and Booster Pump Station-CANCELLED

Project consists of a large diameter water transmission main and booster pump station. Request for Qualifications and engineering services design contract for a water transmission main from Franklin Water Treatment Plant to Statesville Avenue and 978 Zone Booster Pump Station (Northeast Water Transmission Project). Preliminary assessment of project alternatives being completed now.
