This contract will focus on the construction of street main extensions and other necessary infrastructure projects. It will also serve as an on-call contract for capital project construction support. The work will be performed throughout Charlotte Water’s service area, ensuring continued system reliability and expansion where needed.

This contract includes the construction of multiple street main extensions and other miscellaneous infrastructure projects. It will provide construction assistance on an as-needed basis for other capital projects. The scope covers the entire Charlotte Water service area, ensuring water distribution system improvements where necessary.

Collective AD Storm Drainage Improvement Program
Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Projects Series AC will involve 3 projects throughout the City of Charlotte, 4213 Tipperary Pl, 2607 Vail Ave, 4600 Randolph Rd. 4213 Tipperary Pl will consist of a reinforced box culvert replacement as well as reinforced concrete pipe replacement and realignment, CIPP liner, storm drainage structure replacement, full depth asphalt, curb and gutter, concrete driveway, new sanitary sewer pipe and sanitary sewer structures, as well as sidewalk replacement all along Tipperary Place. 2607 Vail Ave will reroute water along Vaile Ave that will consist of new storm drainage pipe and structures as well as sanitary sewer line replacement, concrete driveway and curb replacement, as well as full depth asphalt replacement. 4600 Randolph Rd will consist of CIPP lining across Randolph Rd, a new reinforced concrete pipe alignment with structures, concrete curb, concrete driveway, full depth asphalt, and ditch work along commercial properties and an apartment complex.

6th and Graham Storm Drainage Improvement Project
The purpose and need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality. This project is under review. Location and project details will be provided after review is complete.
Charlotte Area Transit System / Construction
Hambright Park & Ride Construction Project
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) anticipates contracting out the construction of the Hambright Park & Ride. The proposed Hambright Park and Ride will be an approximately 460 parking space mobility hub to provide rapid transit services to the Town of Huntersville, NC and surrounding areas by utilizing the newly constructed express lane direct connect. The project will also include a new public street to access the site, driver comfort station (driver restroom facilities), internal pedestrian circulation, provisions for a mobility hub for micro-mobility options and/or shared ride services, site security and surveillance, and sustainability components.

The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Rail Division anticipates contracting out LRV Wheel Tire Kits. This will be a 3-year contract with two one-year options to maintain sets of tire wheels for on-hand inventory spares.

Bus Fire Extinguisher Service and Inspections
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Bus Operations Division (BOD) anticipates contracting out for the inspection and service of fire extinguishers on up to 400 vehicles at the locations of 901 North Davidson and 3145 South Tryon. Inspections will take place annually and will be serviced if necessary. This is a 5 year contract (3+1+1).

This project involves the rehabilitation of approximately 7,000 linear feet of reinforced concrete pipe (RCP) sewer outfall. The sewer outfall is located just south of Highway 51, running parallel to McAlpine Creek. The work will improve the structural integrity and performance of the sewer system.
