Charlotte Douglas International Airport (“CLT”) intends to post an Request for Qualifications (“RFQ”) for the rehabilitation of Runway 18L/36R and Taxiway D design. The scope of this work to be designed will include but is not limited to asphalt milling, paving, airfield electrical work, and pavement makings.

Program Advisory and PMIS Support Services
This scope of work outlines the program management, advisory services, design management, project controls, project management information system (PMIS) and work & asset management (WAM) implementation and management services to support Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) in the planning, executing, and monitoring of capital improvement projects, ensuring efficient delivery within budget and compliance with strategic goals and regulatory requirements.

NEAT – Overlook Lighting Enhancements
This project will enhance the current lighting around the Overlook site. The scope will include replacing a portion of existing light poles, foundations, and bollards with new poles and fixtures to better illuminate the overlook playground, memorial, and turf area.

A construction contract to repairs roadways and their appurtenances related to water and sewer infrastructure. In addition, minor work could be related to other existing water sewer infrastructure. The scope will also include some concrete and asphalt work within Charlotte Water.

Paw Creek Sewer Rehabilitation and Sewer Diversion
This project consists of the sanitary sewer rehabilitation of approximately 4,700 LF of sewer outfall with cured-in-place lining. This project will extend along the Paw Creek outfall. A 112 LF, 24-inch diversion sewer will also be constructed under Briar Creek along with a 118 LF, 8-inch LF collector sewer. All work will occur within Charlotte Water’s existing easement. A small portion of work on a county parcel.

FY24 Water Main Replacement – Contract 1
This contract will consist of an undetermined number of individual projects consisting of water and/or sewer replacements, water and/or sewer extensions, and water distribution system reliability improvement projects, which will be assigned by the Project Engineer.

FY26 Large Service Contract #1
This contract is for the continuous installation of large water and sewer services, as needed, for commercial or residential purposes with a diameter one and a half inches or larger. Customers apply for quotes for service connection and pay the applicable fees to get into the construction queue. This contract will help meet the demand for these kinds of service connections for the next two years.

Design of Upper Little Sugar Creek Interceptor (at least Phase 1 from Wastewater Treatment Plant to East Boulevard). The complete project extends from Sugar Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant to Sugar Creek Rd.

Lift Station Improvements Phase III
Provides for the rehabilitation of 10 to 12 sanitary sewer lift stations. Modernization of electrical and controls, installation of flow measurement equipment and miscellaneous safety and security upgrades as deemed needed on a per site basis.

Belmont Horizontal Directional Drilling Construction
This project will deliver a new lift station and force main to convey wastewater flow from the City of Belmont to Charlotte Water’s (CLTWater) Stowe Regional WWRF via CLTWater’s Paw Creek Pump Station. This project will allow the existing Belmont Wastewater Treatment Plant to be decommissioned and eliminate the need for costly improvements at This facility. Due to separate funding sources, the project will be delivered via Design-Bid-Build delivery method through two phases of Design and three separate construction contracts.

The Charlotte Douglas International Airport is soliciting proposals from qualified consulting firms to conduct an update to its Airport Master Plan. As a large hub, the airport seeks a comprehensive assessment of its current facilities, operations, and projected future needs, aligned with FAA guidelines and industry best practices. The scope of work includes evaluating existing conditions, forecasting aviation activity, analyzing capacity and facility requirements, and developing alternatives to accommodate future growth.
