The City’s Fleet Management Division is seeking to establish a relationship with an Allison authorized company to provide transmission services for vehicles and equipment owned by various departments within the City of Charlotte.

Charlotte Department of Transportation (CDOT) is committed to enhancing the driving, bicycling, and walk experience through planning, operating, and maintaining the City’s transportation choices for residents and visitors. An important component in the operation and maintenance of the transportation network is the maintenance of storm drainage systems and subsurface soils. The city has more than 3,800 miles of drainage pipe and over 150,000 associated inlets, outfalls and other systems. The Street Maintenance Division of CDOT serves as maintenance providers for much of this system in the right of way. Chemical grouting provides a repair and maintenance method that is less disruptive than typical excavation methods.  The services generally consist of the provision of as-needed CHEMICAL GROUTING on storm water pipes, collars, subsurface voids and other areas as appropriate.

The Craighead/Tryon Storm Drainage Improvement Project is bordered by Glory Street to the north, Little Sugar Creek to the south, Sugar Creek Road to the east and Craighead Road to the west. The existing drainage system consists of pipe system under city-maintained road, state-maintained road, and private property. The improvements include pipe system upgrades.

The purpose and need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality.  This project is under review.  Location and project details will be provided after the review is complete.

Dredging of pond forebay, addition of stormwater pipe, and replacement of existing box culverts to address forebay erosion issues at the site.

Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Projects Series AG will involve 2 projects throughout the City of Charlotte, 1845 Pinewood Cr and 6009 Rexwood Pl.  1845 Pinewood Cr will consist of reinforced concrete pipe replacement and realignment, CIPP liner, storm drainage structure replacement, full depth asphalt, curb and gutter, concrete driveway, new sanitary sewer pipe and sanitary sewer structures, and new watermain.  6009 Rexwood Pl will consist of reinforced concrete pipe replacement and realignment, CIPP liner, storm drainage structure replacement, full depth asphalt, curb and gutter, and concrete driveway.

The purpose and need for this construction project is to improve the storm drainage infrastructure (i.e. pipe systems and culverts) to reduce flooding and to enhance degraded stream reaches to reduce erosion and improve water quality.  This project is bordered by West Boulevard to the north, Farmer Street the south, Clanton Road to the east and Ross Avenue to the west. The drainage system consists of closed corrugated metal pipe systems underneath City maintained roads. Approximately 3,200 linear feet of 60-inch deteriorated corrugated metal pipe will need to be replaced.

Collective Storm Drainage Improvement Projects Series AE will involve 3 projects throughout the City of Charlotte, 3880 Jeff Adams Dr, 4440 Holbrook Dr, 4611 Denver Av Phase 2.

3880 Jeff Adams Dr will consist of lining approx. 562 LF 54″ CMP with CIPP. Also to include lining 12″ and 15″ systems that tie into main 54” system. We will also be doing invert repair in 54″ pipe where it has eroded. This project will need traffic control along Jeff Adams during construction and foundation protection on the permanent structure located on site. MH and DI adjustments are included in this scope along with asphalt resurfacing around them.

4440 Holbrook Dr scope will include installation of approx. 165LF 30″ RCP; 65LF 36″ RCP; 110LF 29×45 Elliptical pipe; 11LF 24″ RCP; 12LF 18″ RCP; 28LF 15″ RCP. Approx 200 LF of 30” RCP and 15” RCP will be removed and another approx. 200LF of RCP is to be plugged and abandoned. Scope also intends to replace approx. 105LF of sewer with 8” DIP and replace (2) sewer manholes. Storm drainage structure replacement, foundation protection, asphalt resurfacing and curb and gutter replacement to also be included.

4611 Denver Av Phase 2 scope will include removal of approx. 75 LF of duel 60” CMP and installation of 65LF of a 10×5 RCBC. Project to include approx. 314 LF of sewer replacement and (6) MHs. Scope also to include conc headwalls and full depth pavement resurfacing.

This project consists of two culverts in series under Cedarbrook Drive and Denbur Drive. Both culvert crossings consist of triple barrel corrugated metal pipe systems. This is a project that was identified by the asset management team and both culvert crossings are actively failing, and preliminary calculations show that the culverts are also undersized.
