The City’s Finance Department is interested in seeking proposals for a Service Provider (or Service Providers) to support the City’s needs for Investment Custodian and Trustee Services with a multi-year agreement. The City’s investment and debt programs are managed by the Treasury Division of the Finance Department. The City’s Consolidated Investment Pool is part of its daily operations and is invested under North Carolina G.S.159-30 and 159-31. Investments in this portfolio are managed with the objectives of safety, liquidity and return, in that order and typically have daily settlement activity. These investments are executed by delivery vs. payment (DVP) and held by the third-party trust custodian.
Innovation-Driven Startup Accelerator Program
Scope of Work
The selected partner will design and implement an accelerator program with multiple cohorts each year during the two-year period. The accelerator will assist entrepreneurs through modalities such as coaching, mentor meetings, networking events, pitch practice, and others to support them through funding or other significant milestones. The scope of the project includes but is not limited to:
- Designing and launching a program of acceleration and/or pre-acceleration for startups
- Build key community partnerships to ensure buy-in and collaboration with the ecosystem
- Achieve engagement with underserved founder communities (ethnic minority and women)
- Conduct outreach in the community to recruit applicants and necessary partners
- Create connectivity between the Charlotte entrepreneurial community and capital sources
- Build measurements and metrics to show impact and success of the program over time
- Assist in messaging to build support for the program after the two-year project period
Prepare program participants for fundraising and achieving milestones post-graduation
Municipal Service Districts 1-5 Services
Pursuant to the provisions of Article 23, Chapter 160A of the North Carolina General Statutes, the City has defined and established five (5) Municipal Service Districts (“MSD”). These partnerships extend the City’s capacity to address strategic priorities and concerns of the community, including but not limited to:
- Partnerships due to special legislation (such as tax allocations);
- Partnerships that support the City Council’s five strategic Focus Areas for the City (Community Safety, Economic Development & Global Competitiveness, Environment, Housing & Neighborhood Development, and Transportation & Planning); and
- Partnerships that contribute to community enrichment.
The City is seeking a Agency(ies) to provide Municipal Service District Services for each of the existing 5 MSDs. Companies may choose to propose for services on MSD 1-4 and/or MSD 5.
