Scope 1: The City requires the company to perform DNA Testing of sexual assault kits (SAKS) and partially tested SAKS obtained from victims of sexual assaults. The company shall maintain ISO/IEC 17025 Accreditation and comply with the 2020 FBI quality assurance standards for forensic testing laboratories. Scope 2: The City requires the Company to perform screening and DNA testing of secondary evidence from Sexual Assault cases. The Company shall maintain ISO/IEC 17025 accreditation and comply with the 2020 FBI Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories.
Sexual Assault Kit Initiative (SAKI)
The City requires Company(ies) to perform screening and DNA testing of secondary evidence from sexual assault cases including, but not limited to, clothing and bedding. Company(ies) shall maintain ISO/IEC17025 accreditation and comply with the 2020 FBI Quality Assurance Standards for Forensic DNA Testing Laboratories.
