Phase II of the Perimeter Fence Upgrade project aims to enhance airfield security and safety by mitigating hazards posed by large terrestrial wildlife and preventing unauthorized access to the airfield. This phase includes the replacement of approximately 21,000 linear feet of perimeter fencing along Runway 18R/36L, as well as upgrades to select airfield gates. The project will increase the fence height from 6 feet to 10 feet and implement targeted gate modifications to align with FAA Cert Alert 16-03 and the Airport Security Plan (ASP).
Camera & Access Control Maintenance
The Charlotte Area Transit System (CATS) Safety and Security division anticipates contracting for comprehensive maintenance covering the following systems:
- CATS Access Control System (Genetec)
- Camera/Video System (QVMS)
- Genetec Camera/Video System
The goal of this RFP is to secure a single vendor capable of providing comprehensive maintenance and support services for the Access Control and Camera Systems under one unified agreement. The camera system comprises equipment from multiple manufacturers, including Pelco, Panasonic, and Axis. The selected vendor must demonstrate the capability to support all components of the system, regardless of manufacturer.
The vendor will be responsible for ensuring reliable performance, timely troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and technical support for both the Access Control and Camera Systems. This includes the repair or replacement of camera hardware as needed to maintain full system functionality.

Security Equipment and Maintenance Services
The City is seeking a qualified company to provide Security Equipment and Maintenance Services in its facilities, which is critical to protecting public safety infrastructures and prevention of unauthorized individuals. The Company shall provide, install, and/or replace, when defective, security equipment, and provide maintenance and support to new and existing equipment and technology for video surveillance and access management.
Security System Services
Charlotte Water will be seeking a contract with a company to provide security system maintenance and installation services throughout its facilities. Services will be required daily and as needed, and will include preventative maintenance and equipment installation and repairs. Equipment includes, but is not limited to, video devices, intercoms, gates, doors, and ancillary parts.
